If you are blaming the second string point guard for losses then you are missing the bigger picture.

Think of all of NBA history... has anyone ever blamed the second string guard for losing the title?

The big boys will get the glory so they should also get the lion's share of the blame if anything goes wrong.

That being said... Rondo needs to do better and Vogel needs to be quick with the hook when he doesn't have it.

But the way people love to focus on a peripheral player and scapegoat them for losing makes little sense to me.

We have a leadership crisis. I think Vogel is scared of Rondo. He's good friends with AD and doesn't wanna piss him off

Join the clamor of one to make it two to fire Vogel in season or latest at the end of the season for being an autistic r*t**d. You’d have had to been in last several Game Times in case that makes no sense.

if he can get creds for wins he can get blamed for loses too, works both ways i dont care bout the lvl of the player, role players can easily change the tide of the gm, good or bad

I wasn’t happy with him in the first half but he made a positive impact in the second half and I had no problem with letting him stay in.

True but people never like to blame their favorite players or heroes, so it's common to blame a role player instead.

Rondo has been poor... but it's almost become an exaggerated talking point in the media these days

Even poor... his playmaking on his worst day far exceeds Waiters 1.5 to 1 assist/turnover ratio

LBJ, AD, and AB won the game for us today.

But when it comes to winning the title it will come down to LBJ and AD rising to the occasion as they did this weekend.

A role player can become a famous footnote like DFish or Horry... but those titles belonged to Shaq and Kobe

Rajon Rondo moves to 15th all NBA assist leader regular season after today's game. Rajon Rondo passes Lenny Wilkens who played for the St Louis Hawks, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Seattle Supersonics among other teams as well as having a long coaching career. Congratulations Rondo. Every assist you get is an assist for the purple and gold now.

He looked better when we went with AD at C. He's going to get important minutes (even though they're dipping a little) that's clear. I think our best bet for him is a lineup of
    AD
    Morris
    Kuz/Waiters
    KCP
    Rondo

There's enough offense there and other creators he can zip the ball around, P&R, and drive and kick.

I mean how long this can continue?

Caruso had a bad game but he had a bad game for a guy who play at an NBA level.
Rondo is playing like a G league player. Like a lot of G league player he can have a good stretch in a game but he's just bad. Last night against the Nets was frankly comical: it's like the Lakers are like a kid trying to figure out how much they can annoy a teacher before getting detention right now with his minutes.

But the advanced metrics show his SWAG is off the charts.

I loved Do after his stint in Sac and NO. It showed he can truly run a team and squashed the notion of being over hyped with the big 3 early in his career.

But yes, man some plays are terrible, but regardless of that fact I still feel more confident with rondo in crunch time in the playoffs than Caruso.

I'd play Rondo, Caruso, KCP all at once actually. And probably Dion Waiters and Danny Green. Wait a minute, he's too tall, Insert Avery Bradley instead of Green.

I just had flashbacks of Steve Blake attempting to "guard" big guards like Manu Ginobli and Klay Thompson and getting absolutely destroyed, and Wesley Johnson playing PF.
