He's absolutely vital for us right now. Hitting shots, playing D... let's see if he can deliver in the playoffs.
If won means the ref sucks at throwing jump balls, staying on the ground, waited and went after the ball, then yeah, KCP won
Carushow - KCP-Green , this trio needs to be unlocked when it comes to defense , especially as help defenders
He's become untouchable? I'm not joking: he's the Lakers most trusty jump-shooter, he can attack the closeout with 1-2 dribble pull up, is a willing defender, is a willing small ball screener, doesn't over-dribble, and his speed always makes him a big threat in transition. He's morphed into a prime Byron Scott
Not sure about having to agree he’s prime B. Scott but I see you working here and really like the post.
A bit hyperbolic of course and hard to compare as Scott just got a lot more minutes (which has value!) but TS% and offensive and defensive ratings are pretty similar
I wish he would get some additional minutes from Green when he's clanking 3s and / or giving them nothing on offense that game. And yep he is one fast sucker in the open court.
I'm eating crow completely after bashing the heck out of him early in the season. But I'll happily do so because A. He was garbage for us while he was getting paid insanely well and he continued to do so for those first 10 games or so. And B. He's looking like a bargain right now at 8 million per year. Glad we have him for one more year.
I think he can opt out but why would he? What a great place to be and we paid him way too much earlier for what he gave us then.
I think he’s opting out. He should have learned his lesson after the whole Detroit contract debacle. I hope he doesn’t but just wouldn’t count on it.
Would be a bad look, for whatever it's worth I think, for both Klutch and him to do it. After the preceding years' performances.
Yes, I was annoyed early on too. All players need some time to get it together which Caldwell-Pope did. It's not like he was a scrub. Looking for Kuzma to do the same. Rondo? I do expect him to have impact in short stints. I do mean short...
Twas I who said it. But I like to think that he can shake off the inertia. We have seen that inside the stone is a statue of a lethal shooting, defensive hustling, mana from heaven falling basketball Adonis, we just have to have faith. Hard for him to gel with DG when he is slumping too.
