That's super nice of course. Has he elaborated on this anywhere on line yet that anyone knows? Would love to read it.
I'm very dubious of Boogie returning, especially if we are going to go after Collison with his injured player exception. That would mean he can't come back, right? I'd rather get a healthy Collison for the rest of this year even if he's rusty. Our centers have been getting it done.
No @sirronstuff came up with the facts that he can come back and it will not affect our existing now money situation.
If the Pels got DeMarcus Cousins and Zion actually lives up to the hype... they would be better than us by next season without some unforeseen signings on our part. The good thing is I don't think DMC likes the Pels because of what happened when he left. We cannot lose any of our three centers to the competition... especially not DMC or Dwight. You can laugh and say I'm delusional but that is what I think would happen. Our edge against many teams is on the inside and it offsets our deficiencies on the wing.
I'm certain that trade will end up as a win win, but if NO plays their cards right, they could be set up to compete for many years to come. Depends on their drafting ability or how they use those assets.
We will beat them this season if they somehow make the eighth seed because I think because they don't match up well on the inside. Favors is their only strong big man and Hayes is way too skinny to match up against our bigs. But Hayes, like Ingram will get stronger and stronger and if they added Boogie they would win next year.
that's more confident than I would say, as I don't know of any moves we make next year. But their projection is looking great. And who knows if their young #1 can even stay healthy yet. So many variables.
It's also too confident to say we'd win this season without seeing Zion's impact. I split the difference and felt we'd win this season... and they'd win next if they signed another big man. Maybe I'd do something bold like trade Jrue for Drummond. He just had an amazing game but they didn't really miss him when he was gone
I also think we don't need him right now and he should stay on the sideline. With that said, having a healthy Cousins doesn't hurt, especially given Javale's inconsistent nature. He can go into suck mode for a month and not recover. Hasn't happened this year but options never hurt. Cousins certainly more suited to guard Jokic than McGee.
I think we do need him, he'd be the only pressence we can use that can get physical in the paint for post scoring, him/dwight in would wreck havoc in the paint with the bench, might even help with opening up 3pt shooters if they have to double boogie or doubling dwight to box him out of O rebs.
Trolling would be if I didn't believe what I was saying. IF the Pels traded Jrue for someone like Drummond... Zion remained healthy... Zo, Hayes and Ingram continued to improve... yes I think the Pels will be a very good team capable of challenging anyone. The center position is their Achilles heel. We need to keep and cultivate Boogie... if we let him go to any of our direct competition... it will not be good for us.
I'd be frightened... but I've seen enough consistency over 40 games to say yes. Siakam and Jaylen Brown got maxed out... so I think Ingram deserves to be in that category unless he's garbage or hurt the rest of the season.
BI will def get the max somewhere. There are 60ish max slots potentially if teams choose to use them. Worse players have gotten the max, and he's one you know won't get fat and lazy or quit working on you. Either you pay him to keep him, or you move him for more assets if he's not your guy. But he's getting paid.
