Lebron has picked this team up and really got us back where we wanted to be. We’re an elite team, with elite talent. Lebron is not my favorite player, but I cannot deny his greatness and the effect it’s having on this franchise... it brought us wins, AD, and potential better signings going forward... I was always a hater, but he’s on this team now. Cheering him on so hard.
Really wish I had me a Lamar Odom to cheer on. I do miss the good old days.

Look... The guy is an incredible player. I simply would pick some players before him, if I were to assemble a team.

Kareem, Kobe, MJ. May be Magic. That's about it.

I’d take Bird. In today’s less physical nba, launching 15 threes a game, he’d be a mix of steph and Doncic. Lebron in the 80s and 90s would be a great player, but imo, his lack of mental toughness would really hurt him in that era. He’d be many thugs’ b****.

bird couldn't floor it in space well enough right now, imo. but he'd still be great, for sure. but today's stars have handles--even against smaller, quicker defenders.

and the 80s dudes thugging lebron?? lol. he's bigger than 80s pfs. dude's like, karl malone size. nba's lucky he wasn't there in the 80s.

imagine lebron getting to just back down a dude for 20 seconds. imagine him getting to hand-check point guards on defense. holy s***.

I’m not with ya on this one bro. Bird didn’t have the handles of today’s players, but with a green light to shoot 15 treys, he’d be so lethal.

Lebron has the physical tools to be great in any era. He’d still be a physical freak in the 80s and 90s. He’s just not mentally strong against physical players. He won’t even try to back down Beverly. Guys like pip and coop hand checking him would have his panties in a bunch. Guys like oak or Laimbeer out to intentionally hurt him would cause him to wither, imo.

But if they played in a different era, would the toughness of the era then also apply to them?

Maybe. If lebron grew up in that era and was tough, he’d be a beast! I’m just assuming if we had a time machine and transplanted this b**** lebron back then.

This mental toughness is laughable. LeBron grew up in a household where he moved homes sporadically, missed school due to not having transportation, being in government assistance, etc., To say he doesn't have the mental toughness but a guy like Muggsy Bogues who was 5'3 played incredibly well during his tenure in the league is just an old man stuck in the past who still thinks a fax machine is better than using a cloud-based platform. And I'm sure you'll gladly clean LeBron's toilets if he paid you so who is the real b****?

Your attitude is veering towards the same path as Vash. You better start staying in your lane or you will be forced to exit. Now, I enjoy the heat. I'm sick like that. I love the show. But people in here don't. So back off. This is a Lakers forum. We love Kobe here. We love everything Lakers. You wanna pull this stats BS, go do it somewhere else.

Lebron is a terrific human being who has overcome tremendous childhood adversity. He should be applauded for that. Too bad that in no way necessary equates to the type of mental toughness needed to excel in high pressure moments in the nba. He struggles at times with being in his own head. I don’t know how that’s even debatable. On top of that, in his younger years, he was incredibly insecure, preoccupied with stats, image, and what people thought of him. Remember when he tried to cover up when he got dunked on by a high school kid? From what I’ve noticed over his career, he gets flustered by physical bully defenders like Draymond and Beverly. When Green called him a b****, he whined to the media and then baited him into getting suspended.

Oh, and calling me a b****, or alluding to it or whatever immature remark that was will get you booted from here quick.

I feel like janitorial is honorable work, and toilets need to be cleaned. I don't see why you'd insult a whole industry to try to make a point. All of us have stray pee from time to time. Or explosive diarrhea.

The team was noticeably rudderless without Lebron in there last night. Such a huge drop off. It will be interesting to see how we get that addressed before the playoffs and it gets majorly exposed.

And as far as closing goes, he made a few layups in a row to keep the Suns at bay last night to wrap up the game when it seemed nobody else was stepping up. Seemed to take a few minutes for him to warm back up, but he was making it happen out there.
