Lavar still treating his grown man son who supports the family the same way he did in middle school and HS by interfering with anyone else tasked with coaching him. What a horrible look to an NBA player. Lonzo doesn’t have the balls to put an end to it. Certainly there are ways to do that which don’t mean never seeing him again.

Well, he made his son a millionaire. His "hype machine" fooled a lot of people, including many here. Thank God we had Ingram, because Zo alone, wouldn't fetch us a dirty socks and slightly used air jordans...

How many people are willing to confess they purchased those high quality BBB overpriced “collector item” sneakers?

I first thought about who was a highly regarded college player who busted... as well as a poor shooting point guard who managed to stay in the league.
Then I thought about other high draft point guards of the past decade

My takeaways... Damn we were unlucky/stupid.

Zo is less efficient than everyone except the two rookies (who will get better because they can shoot) and Adam Morrison.

I don't want anyone to call Rondo a poor shooter... maybe a poor free throw shooter but from the field he's okay.

Looks like Fultz is doing better this year.

I've been rooting for Lonzo since day one but the math seems against him. Of course Ingram took a quantum leap this season, but that FT%... it's hard to visualize a 25% improvement. Even if he improved 15% he'd be at Rondo level FT%. One thing that's good is that his finishing at the rim percentage has increased to 65% from 50% as a rookie... what's bad is he's taking only 20% of his shots from there as opposed to 31% last season. He seems to be doing the Danny Green thing where he only takes shots if he's wide open and is less aggressive if there is a contest.

I'm trying to think if it would be worth it for a team to take a gamble on a player that gives you defense, assists and rebounds, but shoots worse than Adam Morrison. You think of young Rondo as that type of player... but Zo's shooting is way worse than even his.

Who knows, maybe Zion's gravity will fix him.

I remember that - I was mad we didn't get 1 because I wanted Fultz - that would have been a disaster given the situation with Fultz and the pressure of being a Laker.

Heck, he folded in Philly. LOL.

But given where we were slotted; I liked Jackson and Tatum. Gun to my head? I would have taken Tatum.

Either way, just glad we got Davis out of all of it.

yeah, to be fair, i thought there was a huge dropoff after fultz...oops. but i mean, who saw a complete mental breakdown coming? if he had just been himself, he'd be a star right now.

tatum didn't impress me. he's been a bit better than i thought, but i still saw (and see) more rudy gay in him than others do. he could end up more like prime danny granger, though, who was quite good. anyway, again, the issue was the nonsense about him being so much better than ingram as a trade piece. that's how he ended up a "villain" on the forums. and most of it was tongue-in-cheek.

i didn't want jackson, but had no idea he'd be basically out of the league in 2 years. i wanted to trade the pick for paul george or trade down for a later lotto pick and a late first to use in a trade (again, maybe for george). in short, i wanted george and would still be mad about that bungle had we not gotten davis.

    thank you, once again, klutch.

I wonder how a team of all the last 4 years' ex lakers would do? Couldn't afford them all but fun to watch try to get close to a chip.

    Lopez
    Zubac
    Bryant
    Randle
    Ingram
    Russell
    Ball
    Clarkson
    Nance
    Wagner
    Hart
    Svi
    Williams
    Bongo? Nah
Mozgov Hell no. Tried to tell OX but he loved him :giggle:
    Deng Hell no. Same

Not as strong defensively as needed for a ring but with good coaching a lot of offense, talent and depth with where everyone’s game is now and good size. Granted all very young except Lopez and Williams.

    Why else?

Besides the "big names" of Randle, Russell and Ingram... I'd take back Bryant as a 3rd big.... Maybe Lance instead of one of the guards... definitely Hart to pair with Bradley/Caruso/KCP *drools defensively*....
