Apparently, stars aren't immune to flopping fines. It's just Harden.

^and Lebron and anyone on the Clippers.

As soon as I saw Curry was being fined I thought "league isn't happy he is taking the lime light from Golden Boy in Clev. You can literally make a Lord of The Rings style trilogy of all the flopping Bron and CP3 have done and yet neither have EVER been fined. Good thing the league is equal across the board. Steph better not throw an elbow at anyone he might be banned for a year or two if JR Smith got 2 games.

I noticed they weren't calling a lot of the head flailing moves beard usually gets. Hope that continues.

maybe it will make him, you know, actually impress us with basketball talent. he did some nice things last night. if that's how he always played, you wouldn't see me on a personal campaign to tear down his superstardom.

adande had some interesting stats about curry and harden's high scoring games that supported my long-held belief: harden's huge scoring nights almost always involve an insane number of FTAs. curry's do not. and the numbers are staggering.

Rockets' Howard unsure if he can play in Game 2 vs Warriors

OAKLAND, CA - MAY 19: Dwight Howard #12 of the Houston Rockets during Game One of the Western Conference …
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard has a sprained left knee and is unsure whether he'll be able to play against Golden State in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals Thursday night.

Howard sat out practice Wednesday at Oracle Arena after an MRI confirmed the injury. He said his knee was still in pain and he'll listen to his body before deciding whether to play. He added that he has ''no doubt'' he'll return at some point in the series.

''The most important thing is that I'm healthy,'' Howard said. ''Nobody can understand an injury when they're injured but the person that's injured. This is going to be on how I feel. If I feel like I can tolerate it and go out there and play on it, then I will. But my career is the most important thing. I want to do whatever I can to help the team, but I can't help the team if I'm hurt.''

Howard hurt his knee in a first-quarter collision with teammate Josh Smith. He came back into the game in the second quarter but lacked his usual athleticism and eventually left with less than a minute into the fourth.

Howard finished with seven points and 13 rebounds in 26 minutes on the floor. The Warriors beat the Rockets 110-106 to open the best-of-seven series.

''It was very painful to play (Tuesday) night, and coach just felt like it was best that I sit out the rest of the game. I tried to play on it, but it's really nothing I could do,'' Howard said.

Asked if he could play if Game 2 was Wednesday night, Howard responded: ''Thank God we don't have to play tonight.''

Howard missed 41 of 82 games this season, mostly due to issues with his right knee. He said the latest injury is frustrating, especially this deep into the playoffs, and he's hoping for a fast recovery.

''Just stay positive. Don't allow any doubt or negativity to run through my mind,'' he said. ''It was just a freak incident that happened. I'm not going to allow this to change my energy or my mood toward our goal or the positivity that we have all brought to this team.''

If Howard can't play, the Rockets could turn to rookie Clint Capela as their starting center. The Switzerland-born Capela, who also played in the NBA Development League this season, had nine points on 4-of-4 shooting and four rebounds in 13 minutes in Game 1.

Capela said he'll be ready if called upon.

''I'm really just trying to focus on what I need to do on the floor,'' he said.

Rockets coach Kevin McHale said Capela can be a contributor, but it'll take a team effort to fill Howard's role if necessary.

''Clint's not going to turn into Dwight overnight,'' McHale said. ''He might. He'll have to hit the weight room first.''

So... more super-small ball today. We'll see how the Rockets adapt to that. The Warriors probably don't mind it one bit, since they like to play small most of the time anyway. Since Bogut is injury-prone, this works well for them. Let him rest as much as possible.

Clasping hands together...eyes closed...please go 2-0, please go 2-0, please go 2-0. Warriors remind me of the Suns of the mid-2000's BUT with better coaching and actual defense.

I'm tuned in to this series to the point where whatever is going on in the East I forget or don't even think about. The bottom fell out for me over there once the Bulls were ousted. If the Warriors were to get a back to the basket player who can score in the post? Scary...

Wow. That is saying something. When the Suns were at their peak they were formidable. Defense was always the question though. But for a hip check by Horry on Nash into the scorer's table in that series, they were headed to the NBA Finals. That was quite a roster. Makes me smile then, that you feel these Warriors are better. I like Curry as much as I liked Nash. (well truthfully, "almost" as much :) Both are/were astonishing players.

Im not watching this series or any for that matter but I am following the convo here. On the occasion I catch some of the game I find myself laughing at Howard. yes, his team is one round away from championship series but how far has he fallen. Houston is actually the exact same (or damn near) with him on or off the court. I heard that at the end of last game and busted up. This is the guy who didn't want to be in LA cause he couldn't be the #1 option. This is the guy who wanted the most touches because he can when games as that previously stated #1 option. He didn't want to play behind a ball dominant SG only to play behind a ball dominant SG. I am going to find way too much pleasure in his failure if (I think when) Hou looses this series.

Puff, compare his words to the press about his knee, vs what you recall Kobe over his entire career with nasty injuries to his ankles, knees, fingers, wrists, shoulders (not just current). Anything. No wonder Kobe looks at him and calls him soft. The words out of his mouth for one thing. Not discounting how bad his knee might be, but compare him to Kobe. Walked on his own to the free throw line and sank 2 throws we needed toward making the playoffs he had to drag that club toward all season, including Howard. WITH A RUPTURED LEFT ACHILLES TENDON. These two are polar opposites in the "tough" and "alpha dog needing to win" comparisons.

GS doesn't need to play around in this series. They need to sweep the Cowarockets and get ready for Lebron.

...aaaand, here we go. 21-16 Warriors. But they have too many turnovers. Have to take care of the ball.
