Sure, but LeBron can usually overcome his deficiencies defensively with his transcendence on the offensive end..

Rajon is another case altogether...either way, I think he becomes less of an issue playing against 2nd units.

Its very obvious his comfort level with AD. Rondo is the only player who has consistently been successful with AD on that play where AD spins off his defender in the post and catches the lob from Rondo. I've seen AD spin off his man when LBJ has the ball and they just don't have the timing down yet. Rondo comes in these last few days and there is a connection. 20-25 mins a night while Lebron is out with AD is what should continue to happen. Don't start him or play him a lot with Lebron. Rondo hit some 3's last night but teams will still rather have him prove that each night when have AD or Lebron taking shots.

he really does have "moments" but wow his carlessness with the ball will never change, he just passes anywhere he feels like regardless of how many defenders are in the vacinity

He had a run in the 2nd quarter if I’m remembering right where he was just hitting guys cutting to the hoop and finding open shooters repeatedly. It allowed LeBron to take a break from playmaking and get a little in game rest I felt. Then when LeBron went out it wasn’t quite as good, but he DID have some excellent chemistry plays with AD after that. Still not a defender, and guys pack the paint by not guarding him beyond the 3 point line, but you take what you can get, he seemed more of a net positive to me tonight.

I thought he played well next to Caruso as well. Allowed Caruso to not have to dribble so much, to cut for easy scores, get open for threes, which he is much better at than off the dribble, and focus on defense.

Rondo playing more minutes than Green is a big no no .

We need Bradley back and Caruso to improve as a playmaker

Agreed, ideally we see Rondo at more like 15-20 minutes per game. We lose too much defense if we go more. Danny Green and Bradley are key to our success. Rondo's role of spelling Lebron minutes as playmaker isn't as important.

For all of Rondo's pretty passes, this is what matters. We were a better team when Bradley was starting and KCP/Caruso were the first off the bench. Since Rondo came back we are BARELY squeaking by crap teams. I will never understand how these great basketball minds; guys that obviously know far more about the game than I do (LBJ, AD, Vogel, etc.) can't see how Rondo is a complete and utter albatross on the team.

KCP has been playing pretty well recently. Despite the fact that I still hate KCP, Rondo will now be the new focus of my message board aggression.

We don't really have a choice right now with Bradley and Caruso out.

    Da f***?!?

Net +4 which was 3rd best on team
    6:1 ast/TO ratio
    2 stls
26 mins that help “limit” Bron’s playmaking role so he’s off ball at 39mins on a back to back

    Smh @ Rondo criticism tonight.
