Depends, could be six months to a year. Either way, we shall see. If it is indeed torn we are kinda screwed. My guess is he tries to play through like Kobe did but he's going to be in pain all year long.

I'm not seeing any news coverage of this story.
Are you all sure that this has happened?

If he did tear it, I'm not at all worried. He will have to get surgery but that s*** can wait.

DeMarcus Lawrence of the Cowboys played through one for two seasons.

And Davis has played through it before. Played through it for three seasons in NO before having surgery. So it's a pain he's familiar with, can manage, and is probably more used to feeling the pain than not at this point.

And the more important the games become ..... the more it will be targeted for contact. Just what happens whether obvious or not.

Vogel/staff need to consider "load mgmt" too for AD/James, we all know we're screwed w/o either one come playoff time, especially James

problem is that we might miss the playoffs if we sit either too often. we signed complimentary guys (in part because only complimentary guys were available, mind you). they have trouble swimming on their own.

well, kawhi, and the whole "three stars or bust" mentality that spawned that situation. had we been willing to trade for salary, we could have been in the clips' position essentially: a ready-made roster for two stars (lebron and AD). instead, we swung for the fences and whiffed. is what it is. we're damn lucky we even got green, who's the only useful shooter on the team right now (look at the stats if you hate your eyes).

^ i still think that it was the right play (waiting). No one could see the real Kawhi's plan and nature (maybe except Pop). He played us, f*** him.

well, once we had the space, it was really the only move. my argument (even before) was that we shouldn't have bothered clearing the space and focused more on roster construction.

Rich Paul has been pushing back on sitting Davis for an extended period of time this season due to maximizing his value in his upcoming free agency. Lakers management, on the other hand, are trying to be as conservative as possible with their newly acquired forward.

If true, this seems beyond dumb on Rich Paul's end. AD will get whatever he wants in free agency, whether he rests or not. The only thing that could affect his market value would be a catastrophic injury. The notion that he maximizes his FA value by playing more games is absurd.

AD could sit out all year and command the max from everyone, just like KD did. that angle doesn't make sense. i think AD just feels he has something to prove, resiliency-wise. i'm not sure how to feel about it. glad he wants to gut it out. not sure if it's anything more than symbolic.

if it turns him into lamarcus aldridge, he might as well sit, tbh. of course, he'd be larmarcus aldridge + all nba defense, so...maybe it's worth it.

    LMA + all-NBA defense is a f***ing HoF... still.

He'd be infuriating on the offense and exhilarating on defense. Oh well... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

AD will score 50 + tonight.
There is no way Saric or Baynes will prevent him

It's not for sure. Ox is assuming it is. Not a bad assumption, especially with the Lakers tendency to not be entirely forthcoming with injuries.

AD’s defense is more impressive than his offense.
