Ok Vogel - your move. The team has played VERY WELL without Rondo especially defensively and we're WINNING. It's up to YOU to determine how many minutes are sufficient for Rondo and this team without letting the defense suffer too much. Your move...

Overall, they were mediocre offensively; better with Dwight, worse with MCG. The offense will improve as long as we stay solid defensively. But it wasn't horrible either - there are simply some stretches when we play too much iso ball, and fortunately for us we have two superstars who can score enough to make it work and win games. WE have to reduce those stretches and make it more fluid. I believe Rondo could help during some of those stretches, just by controlling the pace and moving the ball well.

As long as it's not too many minutes. :) Vogel will figure it out.

I'm looking forward to Rondo returning. I just don't want him playing 20- 25 minutes per game. I thought that talk was way overboard considering our depth at guard. 15-20 minutes a game? I could see that eventually.

15-20 is perfect for Rondo - basically he'll take Quinn Cook's minutes and some of KCP's/Bradley's/Caruso's minutes.

If he's playing 25+ minutes though, I'm going to rage.

    Rondo's mins + Lebron's mins = 48

thats how many he should be playing.

my sentiments exactly. one vet leader who can control the game at all times. no need for more than one at any time. particularly when each has shown...inconsistent...interest in defense.

We will need some of Cooks shooting, especially if Daniels continues to be horrible

Can't wait until past Dec 15 when we can hopefully make a move or 2

What if Rondo takes LeBron, Dwight, and Bradly’s magic defensive rejuvenation pills and turns back into an adequate defender this season? No, I don’t think it’s likely, but this team’s culture seems to bring out the effort in players that historically don’t try defensively, like Daniels, and Cook.

We'd be in a great spot if that happens. Thats the current knock on Rondo I think. We know we need his playmaking out there but (as seen from last season) his defensive reputation has fallen off a cliff. If he puts effort into that end, we could look past the perimeter shooting.

What we need is playoff Rondo. He's smart and competitive, just needs to bring it every game from the start of the season. Hell, Bron is trying like he hasn't in years.

Agree. Stop with the low % "highlight" mustard's off the hot dog turn over passes so often and take care of the damn ball. If you are cold as s*** from 3 and they are backing off daring you to shoot, instead of continuing for 3 more attempts in a row after clanking the first 3 in a row ..... just ask the coach to take you out of the game.

I think this is what will happen. Remember last year we were working off of Luke’s defense. Vogel’s looks way better and therefore might be easier to employ. The switching I see efficient at the least, and there are very good defensive bigs to back him up if he gets beat.

Rondo will ruin the fun out of our current run , everybody knows it , some of you just try to convince yourselves he'll magically become a good player again

    - Matador defense , a HUGE drop from Caruso ( prepare to be pissed when he takes Caruso minutes away)

    - Kills the O spacing, turns down open shots to chase assists and takes away the ball from Bron's hands .

The only question is how long it will take Vogel to sit him out ( and for AD and Bron to understand he's hurting the team a great deal)

Hopin for a day to day injury until June .
