I had a fun time watching NOP beat Denver last night on Halloween. Had the game on mute waiting for trick or treaters. I enjoyed seeing all of our ex- players: BI, Lonzo and Josh. Ingram still has his flaws but he's a good player with plenty of upside. Lonzo is still great to watch pushing the ball up court or passing quickly to others in the half court game. I miss him the most. Josh was hustling as always. I'll certainly be watching some of their games this year and they are easily my second favorite team in the league now with our guys there. It'll be fun to see how they gel with Zion when he returns. I think they will probably miss the playoffs (too much competition and time lost without Zion) but they are entertaining.

Oh yeah, added note, it was interesting to see Okafur out there doing damage - 26 and 5. He could have been our ex-Laker as well with the number 2 pick that we used on Dlo (which is what I wanted at the time). So there was another Laker connection.

I still miss BI. Of course I would still include him in the AD trade. It would have been nice to be able to keep him but you have to give to get. I still think he will be a star in this league. Not a Durant or Lebron kind of star but still a star.

Slender man is averaging a tick under 27ppg on the season, rebounding the ball, passing to the open man, and hitting his 3s. The Pels got real value in the trade.

Wait I thought we didn't give enough?

It's encouraging to see his performance this season so far, usually he starts off very slow and starts getting it in the new year. Prime candidate for most improved this season if he can keep it up.

No, to quote Roger Clemens you’re misremembering. Before the trade our package/players were trash, after the trade NO got an”haul” from us. Before the trade it made no sense why NO would take our garbage with what Boston could offer, after the trade NO was the most exciting young team in the league to watch with guys like Ingram and Ball.

If the average person in America is unable to see what a pile of trash our media has become, in all facets of American life, they are simply stupid and blind. Our media needs a reset and an overhaul!! They are screwing the golden goose!! Such idiots in the press these days.

Yeah but he's not Jayson HOF lock Tatum. How's his numbers BTW ... are they improving over last year? .... and compared to Ingram? @RonStu is either out of the country or pre-occupied preparing to be, so I'm probably safe from being told that's what Google is for.

It's early - but boy oh boy I LOVE seeing Pelicans beat writers eat their words and praise Ingram left and right now. Just shows that we were right all along about him and that their infatuation with Tatum/Brown just makes them look stupid now.

I couldn't be happier for Ingram man - the dude worked his butt off and lots of ppl doubted him after that heart thing happened to him last year...

It's curious that the national media has gone silent on the Tatum = MJ Jesus narrative since the AD trade. Seems there was an intentional effort to prop up boston's assets while minimizing the Lakers'.

tatum hit a game-winner last night. first time in his career to hit a go-ahead shot with under 10 seconds.

could have sworn it was like, the 40th.

I still scratch my head at the way LA fans react to Tatum. He's putting up 22 and 8 and stroking 3s, and his defensive metrics are very good. He's a very good young player.

I honestly think I just missed out on all the hype the media was giving him. I confess I don't follow any major news sites or read up on the NBA except here and threads on Reddit relevant to my interests.

We know he’s a really good young player. We’ve just had a chip on our shoulder regarding the media’s insistence he’s much better than our young assets were. Any mocking of Tatum isn’t directed at him, but only at the media’s ridiculous assertions of his future superstardom.

Tatum was averaging 20 ppg and shooting 34% going into last night’s game. He is hitting his 3s at a high clip. Can’t speak to the defensive metrics trodgers mentioned, but not lighting the world on fire on offense.

I also find it funny that ESPN had that “De-Kobeing of Jayson Tatum” article before the season, only for his game winner to be a shot Kobe probably worked on with him.

As Punk said, the issue with Tatum is just the media, not the kid himself. I won’t say I’m pulling for him because he’s on the C bags, but I’m mostly indifferent since the trade.
