Don't regret the trade at all. But, so far (yeah I know it's only two games) Brandon Ingram is putting up bigger numbers than AD.

I watched some of Ingram’s game highlights and he’s been balling. But man AD’s defense is stellar even when his offense is sputtering

He looks good. That’s always the risk in trading away someone right before their breakout year. We’ll see if he can sustain it.

I’d say the last few years we have given the league some pretty good players, young and old. To the point of being painful. But, you’re welcomed.

Always believed in most of the young guys, but getting an aging Lebron meant a veteran roster needed to be assembled to take advantage of his remaining years.

you gotta give up talent to get talent - We all knew Ingram was going to be this good.

I do wish we found a way to keep Ingram and dealt Kuz instead - had I known that 3rd max slot was going to be used on the players we ended up with - I would have much rather used some of that cap space to absorb AD and keep Ingram so we'd not have cap space to overpay the likes of KCP (we'd still have space to get Danny Green, whom I love)

True, but we weren’t in the talks of a being championship contender either, for yeeeeeears. So goes the trade off.

I’m tired of the Lakers not being in the hunt; it’s not natural. Let the other teams get the fun draft picks, then we take them later to turn up their career; it’s natural.

    Two #2 picks: Zo/BI
    #4 pick: DeAndre Hunter
    #30 pick: Hart
    3 future 1sts: 2 unprotected and a pick swap

Oh and Moe (25th pick), Bonga (39th pick), JJ and a future 2nd.

Btw, we did not make that trade with a guarantee he stays (via trade kicker extension)...making him a 1yr deal that can leave this coming summer.

11 assets if you’re keeping count haha

But TIME, I’m with you in that I feel BI will be special and would have been that much more a haul if we kept him instead of Kuz.

ingram showed flashes of this last season before the blood clots

now he's just balling out. i think we all knew he was gonna be this good and that it was just a matter of time. him and lonzo both. pretty much just like d-lo

they trade these guys and then they breakout once they get to their new teams

We’re using the max or splitting it up on others and then paying kuzma later I believe. We would’ve had to max out BI though or close to by upcoming summer

Meh, AD will put up a 40/20 game or drop 50 soon enough and people will go nuts and forget Ingram even exists. Happy for the kid though, he’s playing with a lot of confidence, and going from that blood clot scare to back and better than ever is a great story.

    AD is good no doubt.

I'm still not sure if he's DLO + Randle + Lou + Ingram + Lonzo + Zubac + Hart + #4 good though. Because that's what he cost us.

21 points and 7 rebounds resoundingly says yes!!!!

    :KobewaitingTW:

Good thing we are running the offense through him. Wonder if he tires of Lebron and says peace out after one year. That might suck.

methinks we should have a roll call today on who thinks the trade was a mistake and that BI and ball and bonga and whatever the hell are destined to lead teams deep into the playoffs.

    i want receipts.

Why you want receipts. Just bust out your crystal ball?

You pick AD all the way. Still doesn’t take away from the fact you lock his a** in as part of the deal. I truly feel he stays, but that doesn’t stop the fact that free agency is too unpredictable.

Anyways...here’s the only time AD should play extended minutes at the 5 in the regular season. I would say that’s opportunistic.

the only reason why i still would trade lonzo+BI+hart for AD is because i just don't think lebron with those kids would be enough to make it through the stacked WC

this team needed a 2nd superstar desperately and even though lonzo and BI look like all stars so far this season, that trade had to be done

LOL. This is a "fact" now? No the "fact" is he stated unequivocally numerous times he was going to test FA no matter where he was traded. Look it up. You're still doing your own hypotheticals that you have come to believe are fact because you've said them so many times.

No s***! Isn't this what we have been saying all along and it's been giving you the vapors like when he banged his thumb on the backboard and happened to be at the 5 in a small ball lineup? Which of course could never happen if he were at the 4?
