    These guys posted my thoughts

This is going to be bad, very bad. Every locker room Dwight leaves is better off. I bet Memphis is like “buyout?! Uh..yeah, no problem, how about we give you a little more than you’re owed, we’d love to get rid of you quick as poss..er that is, we’d love for you to be able to move on to your new home quickly”.

It’s with great sadness, and a heavy heart, that I move this thread to LD. All the laughs I got at other teams’ expense will now be had again at my team’s expense.

    Well.... here we go.

This isn't how I feel, but thought it was funny. I'm still laughing at how this actually happened to give any real thoughts right now.

    Off the bench:

    Rondo
    Pope
    Dudley
    Kuz
    D12

That's a starting line up right there on the East

If there was ever a razor thin line. Howard is on one. Why couldn't we just have gone with Noah

A good read with a lot of information on how this fell into place. I added some of the quotes below that I found interesting.

Sounds like Kidd was all for Howard coming and a big proponent for getting him here:

Glad our own players got some time to speak with him

lol if you had told me in 2013 that dwight would be back with the lakers in 6 years this would've been me
    :Adlaughing::Adlaughing::Adlaughing:

that said, i'm fine with this. dwight showed he still had plenty left in the tank when healthy the last few seasons. and this isn't the same guy who came to LA six years ago. guy knows this is very likely his last chance in the NBA and that his career has gone the way it has mostly because of his own doing. i fully expect him to come in and do his job without any BS

Some of you will change your tune once Dwight wins the championship. Take that:

Seriously now, with people like Bron, AD and Rondo on the team, he knows that - if he screws up the locker room - he's out. He will either play team ball - come off the bench, rebound, block shots and play some pick & roll, or he gets cut. I have zero worries about that.

Just give us close to 20 solid mpg and don't do anything stupid, that's all we ask for.

And then he can finally get that championship.

Jason Kidd helped in this? That’s more reason to hate it honestly, ugh. Seriously, f*** Dwight, if you’d told me we miss out on Kawhi and sign Dwight this offseason I’d have been pretty pissed, and well, here we are. How am I supposed to root for a guy this unlikable?

This guy, we’re bringing back THIS guy

I bet Noah goes to the Clippers and really helps them with zero drama too.

Atlanta players said Howard was constantly addressing the team before and after games before and after playing lackluster games himself.

LBJ and Rondo by themselves completely negate the chance of that happening or allowing any sort of leadership role to exist for Howard on this team. Let alone AD, the other vets and the 3 head coachs running things.

And as far as I'm concerned, let the negativity roll, media, Laker fans, here, everywhere. Nothing wrong with that. He's earned it. That will insure his tail is tucked between his legs and hopefully keep him focused on saving his name and career.

He may have experienced negativity but nothing like the LA media can drum up.
