is amir johnson washed? a couple years ago, he was still serviceable. noah kicked our a** in one game last year, iirc. mejri can give you 12 good minutes against backups, and that might be all we need, tbh. not a lot of great options, but we can't go into the season with one center like last year. cost a few games early before we brought chandler in.

The DC I saw play for GSW in the playoffs was not gonna move the needle much, if any. IF he had returned to pre-injury form this year, then there would have been something to talk about. faried can work in today small ball but dwight missed majority of last season, basically signing another potential dead weight

Not saying I agree, but I think the idea is that without Cousins we’ll have to play AD more at Center, which will open up some minutes for a backup PF that Melo could now fill.
