Uh... is it just me or does Melo look a lot leaner now? Does he have anything left in the tank? For, like, a 12th man or something?
He does look leaner. Still don’t want. Melo could still play if he took a vet/mentor role but his ego won’t allow that.
but that was before the league laughed and collectively told him to go away. and losing out on doing what you love while also costing yourself over a minimum of a million dollars a year MIGHT make you reconsider you position. Might.
I think it was a recent quote but you could definitely be right about reality and no more millions auto deposited into your account yearly smacking him upside the head.
Passing and defense jokes aside, this is really great. Melo at his best was a scoring machine, Kuz has the tools to become one, just need to refine things a bit.
kuz is already good at playing off the ball. if he can pick up some shot creation from working with melo, that's great. especially if he's to anchor the second unit, scoring-wise.
I think Melo's defensive stance on Kuz in the pic pretty much says it all. Arms not extended, just showing Kuz a little bit of terrifying left side hand palm...it's the "I'm not gonna do anything if you go but maybe I can at least get a late grab and get ya an and-one" stance.
Good read from 2 days ago in the rag Times. Title there was, "He's got the stuff to be a star" (Kuzma, per Klay Thompson) https://www.latimes.com/sports/lake...yle-kuzma-carmelo-anthony-lakers-roster-uswnt
No reason he can’t keep improving. I think his three ball will get better and better, as will his defensive awareness.
