You mean you don’t play all your playmakers at the same time and then take them all out at the same time?
It’s so basic it’s almost unbelievable that Luke didn’t get it. I think it was maybe 2 locked on Lakers shows ago that Pete was talking about how in his opinion LeBron, AD, Cousins, and Kuz are the guys on this team that can get their own shot or create shots, and that 2 of them should be on the floor at all times. Something like that anyway.
No, but it’s still interesting, because if he’s filling out the end of his staff it doesn’t seem like he’ll be hiring anymore top level assistants. So considering he didn’t hire an offensive minded coach, it’s safe to say we’re really counting on his personal growth with modern NBA offenses.
I'm not too upset about it. When you've got LeBron and Davis you have a built in offense with a simple pick and roll. I'd have preferred a Lue/Vogel combo, but Vogel still has an excellent staff around him. We should be okay.
I’m not upset, but after years of Luke’s extremely basic offense and lack of any creativity, I’d like to see something a little more clever than ‘give the ball to LeBron and let him make something happen’. KCP should also never be chosen to take a game winner again.
At least in interviews, Vogel has sounded like a guy with an open mind that is okay with changing his systems based on current trends. I’m willing to give him a chance before I complain about his assistant hires.
I don't think he wanted to be hired. Better to help guys all around the league than work for just one team
I was just thinking about him the other day. Wonder where the non athletic short white dudes end up after almost making it. Tough road for a career I would think.
I don't think so, it also sounds like recently Lethalshooter has come out and said he wants to keep doing his own thing now and train players on the side. I can't find the tweet that I saw from someone but if I can find it I'll post it.
