@LTLakerFan They definitely help with this. AEG doesn't do endorsement themselves, but they can link players with companies looking to jumpstart new marketing campaigns. I myself often help in this regard.

I have yet to watch a Boogie interview. Just haven't gotten around to it. So ..... speaking of finding him media work and endorsement money while he's a Laker, what is his personality like when he's just being him? Is he smart? Funny? Well spoken? Just looks like he could be a really great pitch person for quality things. He's got the face for an action game :D if something could be done really cool and not corny. Maybe @Mr. Rambis can be thinking some in the gaming arena, doing something. Leveraging his visibility with the worldwide millions of Lakers fans.

Look at AD repping for Xbox One X. That ain't cheap!!

I hope so, Dominique Wilkins is the only player that tore his achilles and returned playing at a high level.

Which was amazing since so much of his game was athleticism. It seems that the players whose game is more skill based and less athletic based would have a greater chance to regain their pre-achilles level. I'm hopeful that Boogie can get back to maybe 80-90% of what he was. He's lost the extra weight, and a lot of his game is shooting, passing, and knowing his spots, which are all less reliant on jumping out of the gym. Defense, on the other hand, is always going to be an issue for him, other than low post bodying-up.

I’d argue that Rudy Gay has been playing some of the best ball of his career with San Antonio after his torn Achilles.

Yup. Always takes 2 years to fully* gain* whatever max explosion your body is capable* of having.
    Boogie turns 29 august 13th.
    Gay turns 33 august 17th.

Be interesting to see how KD does with his recovery. Could affect his placement on the all time scoring list

And I'd argue that it's the Spurs factor.

I'd argue the Spurs are irrelevant

I'm hoping for the best with DMC. By the time this season starts he'll have only played 6.5 months of NBA basketball over the last 24 months. He basically got one entire season off. With less responsibility offensively I think he'll find a comfortable niche on the squad. Playing with AD & LeBron will make offense easy, he won't have to work as hard physically.

I just hopes he takes his body and his craft seriously. Can't get complacent because you have AD & Bron. A high functioning DMC with a clear role on this squad would be devastating.

Dominique spoke to Boogie, told him what it took to get him back, I think he's applied what he learned and we'll see a bigger return this year compared to last.

Love Dom' Wilkins. I got to watch him as a kid in Greece where he finished his career bring my team Panathinaikos a FIBA Euro-League chip&that's literally all I remember from his time there lolz.
    Cool story bro ;)

I know based on his current weight loss appearance that we should start him but we should load manage this guy, I wouldn't start him till we get closer to playoffs (maybe a month or so before)

I was just having this conversation with my son's coach. We both believe that KD because of his skill level (I think he is the most skilled player in the NBA) and his height/length should not have a problem returning to pre-Achilles form.

KD's game is based on all the nuances of getting space through superior footwork. He's the best I've seen since Kobe.

For example, KD does this thing at the elbow where it is soooooo money. It is hard to do but he takes a step like he is going to drive but as he steps he pulls up for a jump shot. And because of his height/length he gets his shot off so easily.

I mean, honestly, he really didn't look awful out there last year coming off his injury and then sustaining the quad injury. Speed and explosion wise, he wasn't quite there, and that was really exposed when he switched on pick and rolls.

He still displayed solid skills, set solid screens, and was a menace in the paint. Zu at his best might have the same impact, but now we're getting a slimmer, more motivated Boogie next year with a full offseason to heal and get training camp under his belt.

    I'm really excited for him.
