Everyone leaves Sacramento on bad terms. That franchise is trash, and has no good terms to offer. I'd be more suspicious of players that WANTED to play there.

If Boogie can simply get back to pre-quad injury Boogie at Golden State we’re gonna be a very dangerous team. He was starting to play some good basketball. Anything more than that is just icing on the cake.

Boogie had a torn achilles. The Pelicans were not going to offer him a max deal. Nobody was. He chose to go to GS to win a championship and round back into shape slowly as they wouldn't really need him until the playoffs. The dude busted his a** to get back after the quad pull. Watch that video. You can see his quad snap. The fact that he made it back in a month from that injury is remarkable. I am confident we will get a version of Boogie somewhere in between Pelicans Boogie and Warriors Regular Season Boogie. That is a rock solid third option, especially when your first two options are Lebron and AD. Sprinkle in Kuzma as option 3 or 3A...scoring shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, he's getting a full offseason to rest and rehab without straining himself. He could have easily just not come back from the quad injury and ride the ring chase train, but he fought hard to come back and played in the Finals, while he wasn't close to game shape.

Hopefully he can come into the season fully rested and in the hands of Seto, keep him that way. He doesn't need to really play heavy minutes with McGee and AD able to play C at any time too.

The one thing he does need to work on, and this is also a team thing, is not leaving him alone on an island on a pick and roll. He got exposed quite badly in the playoffs and had to be taken out because he couldn't keep up. He needs to learn to move his feet and hedge, but the team needs to help either double the ball handler or rotate to help him.

he turned down 20m per from pelly even tho he had that Achilles n gsw couldve given him same vet min deal n they couldve still used boogie....if he has done a 180 nop or gsw wouldve made more efforts to keep him...not saying this isnt worth the risk but that image people have of boogie is there for a reason, he doesn't bother teammates but his demeanor on the court hasnt changed much, still complains, still gives half a** efforts when things dont go his way

All this. Yeah that freeze frame of his quad was cringe inducing. No idea how he came back from that so quickly.

Lakers looked at trading for Demarcus Cousins a few times when he was with Sacramento. He was considered one of the best, if not THE best big man in the game before he got hurt.

Lakers get even 75% of that, and look out league!

Boogie giving half effort is just another example of how the media narrative has spiral into something beyond the facts. That narrative has never come from any players or coaches of his. You don't get to be considered the best big man in the NBA because you give half effort. But you have a right to your opinion

Because of the DLo sign and trade, the Warriors were hard capped which means the most they could offer was 4 million or so. They felt WCS matched their playstyle better which I cant really argue with.

Pelicans offered more than most teams would have. 20 million to a dude coming off an achilles... That's a lot and a pretty significant effort to keep him.

the narrative comes from his low lights, best big man on offense the half a** part is in regards to defense where he'd stay on one end of the court complaining rather than getting back on D

Never heard that narrative from any of his coaches or teammates. You're welcome to give me link to a quote of any of them saying so.

maybe you'll see it for youself now that hes a laker...i just recall seeing a montage of his antics as a king where there were plays showing cousins standing at 3pt line with hands on knees doing nothing cause he knew he wasnt getting the ball, n multiple instance of also standing n watching on defense

He hasn't been on Sacramento in years though, that's the point. Boogie has changed the narrative about him by playing to win for both the Pelicans and the Warriors, especially the Warriors.

As I said "I never heard any of his coaches or teammates". I could care less about fans and talking heads opinion. You know what they say about opinions. I recall Kobe intentionally holding the ball and not taking a shot and several other instances like that. I never once heard the media or anybody else attempt to damage his image because of it. I don't let a few seconds that the media run on a loop dictate my veiw of a player. I can do that for myself by taking everything in its entire context. These guys pick and choose who they want to make the villian base on their own bias . But everybody has a right to their opinion.

considering his pay to talent lvl, the is a "reason" for that n its not purely cause of injuries
