Tony Allen is a good defender.

Tony Allen on Klay. With Conley in here on Curry this is very even in terms of the backcourts. Sure GS gets the nod because Klay is a better two way player and Curry is so good. But still. On D Memphis is so solid.

    Curry is playing terribly.

I have no idea what GS is thinking with their defense. The Grizzlies can't shoot the ball. Pack the paint. Double Zach or Gasol. At one point, I think Grizzlies had Randolph, Gasol, and Koufos on the floor and the Grizzlies still didn't double or pack the paint.

That's what happens when you're a jump shooting team...

i like memphis a lot, but root for gs--because Memphis will lose to either lac or Houston. nobody wants either of the latter two winning the title, and gs can prevent that. Memphis can't. tony allen will NOT be allowed to defend harden like he has curry and Thompson.

and thk is right. even the bonehead announcers can see it: Memphis can't shoot. make them do it over and over. they're 3-6 from three. if they can go 12-24, fine, you lose. I don't think they can. not 4 times in 7 games. you're not even testing that theory right now.

I had GS in 5 so I either overrated GS or severely underrated Memphis, GS has been my (non-Laker/Pau) team all year but I just really like the way Memphis plays old school basketball.

I had GS in 5 too. These past 2 games have surprised me so far, but GS is starting to make a run. We aren't technically wrong yet!

Missing free throws now. This is just not their day. It happens. They just need to win one in Memphis.

Might be too late. If they just hit some of those FTs or open threes they normally hit... They'd be winning the game right now. As I said, sometimes you just have a bad shooting night. I do expect GS to win the next game.

I kind of underestimated Memphis myself. I did have concerns for GS in guarding the Memphis bigs but I thought the backcourt of GS would give them an overwhelming advantage. But Memphis is playing their game and not letting GS play theirs. Plus Thompson is just not shooting the ball well. Credit the defense of Memphis, they are looking imposing right now. I'm thinking they might have a slightly better chance against Houston or clippers right now.

Another outstanding game in this series. Fun stuff. Memphis dominated tempo tonight. Agreed with others, you have to double the post. When they did they manufactured turnovers and got out on the break. They have to do that all night long, not just short stretches. Grizz holding serve right now. I'd love to see GS bounce back next game and even it up.

Good point by Jalen. Where is David Lee? He should be playing at least some.

I don't think I've ever seen Curry miss so badly before.

Please let this game go to 7, so enjoyable. Both these teams are very easy to root for.

There's Courtney Lee as well who is an able defender. Green and in some capacity Carter are able to switch to help on the perimeter. Other than Thompson and Curry, the Warriors don't have players who can create off the dribble to collapse the defense.

^Allen, Conley and Lee are very capable defenders that can all cause problems for the Splash Bros. But GSW don't have the players to check Marc and ZBo. Bogut can do an okay job with Marc but ZBo just eats up whoever is thrown at him.

I picked the Warriors and said "I guess", because for me it's a toss up. I also said the Grizzlies bigs are almost to that team what the Warriors guards are to them and that it wouldn't be a short series. Z-Bo and Gasol with 21 and 22 tonight. Curry struggled again, Klay wasn't great. Memphis' game isn't as pretty as GS, but it works in the playoffs, they're a team that's gone deep for a few years now. It's still anyone's series, I just want whoever is most likely to take out the Clippers or Rockets (and then the Cavs if they make it) to win.
