Btw, not my thoughts. These were directly off LakersGround, by someone predicting/saying all this stuff. Personally I think this is BS, I feel like the admins wouldn't verify the guy if they weren't 99.99% sure he could back up the claims he was\is making. But there might be truth sprinkled here and there and is worth a read especially for those who don't use LakersGround (god the site is soo slow)

The only thing we know for sure is the Clippers are out of the running, as they are about equal to the Raptors talent wise, but because the Clippers lack an additional star player, and because they are in the West, load managment is not a reality for Kawhi on that team.

Now it’s basically a coinflip between Toronto and the Lakers. I think it comes down to which team allows Kawhi the best opportunity to win multiple rings, load manage during the regular season, build his brand, maximize off court earnings, and save on income taxes paid year after year. Add it all up, and Los Angeles Lakers come out on top, especially when his entire family are Lakers fans, and he has been getting mentored by Kobe.

I think it’s possible that this YSong cat from LG and @Mr. Rambis both have the inside scoop but from different ends, one being Kawhi’s camp, and the other being the Lakers/AEG end.

Am being told that there is some internal confusion in the Lakers right now. As I've posted about earlier, the discussions they had with Kawhi were very detailed regarding how he would fit into the Lakers. In subsequent conversations, they went into more depth about things like how many games he might play, who he could talk to for various concerns, etc. New Balance obviously had some great marketing proposals lined up as well, and Uncle Dennis made some very specific comments about things like the "Big 3" - which I also posted about yesterday. With that in mind, the Lakers thought that they would hear from him not too long after. However, now with the delay and his speculated lengthy dealings with Toronto, they're a little less confident and are unsure as to where Kawhi's head is at.

This guy who wrote this has apparently dedicated his life to stalking Kawhi. How much credibility do his statements of “fact” have? Well he claims that Mr. Rambis claims to be an AEG employee. He’s never claimed that here. He has described his relationship with AEG otherwise. It would be wise to actually read Mr. Rambis’ posts before trying to out him as a fraud.

Not good, not good. I felt like that meeting with the Raptors had an affect with Kawhi.

Interesting read. Especially if all factual. Would explain a lot like he says about Kawhi learning to keep his mouth quiet.

Most of the stuff in here is true as researched, some like Mark's high school tenure can't be verified
Either this guy does his research (probably) or he's telling the truth (likely not)

Is it unprecedented for the Lakers to send someone out to Toronto to meet with Kawhi? Giving the Raptors the last word and time seems to be a big advantage in terms of mindset.

We’ve seen the Clippers do this with DeAndre Jorden a few years ago. Not saying we’re the Clippers, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

I don’t think he’s so fickle minded that he would make a life changing decision based on a solitary meeting. He’s already won a chip with them not too long ago and is quite familiar with their organizational climate. I don’t think they could drastically substantiate any further on what’s already out there.

He’s going through the preliminaries and should subsequently process the interactions in a more holistic manner. I think this is one of the smartest and most thorough vetting I’ve seen by an nba pro. Not exciting for the fans(me included), but his entire life at stake. Not to mention he’s arguably the best player in the league.

I’m proud of our organization to put us in this position, wherein we were considered (in the 1st place) and are still in play. For all intents and purposes we shouldn’t have been at the table so as to speak, but some shrewd cap gymnastics by the FO has given us a punter’s chance.

If Kawhi is in Toronto now still and the announcement is tomorrow, he ain't coming. He's gotta be there for the presser.

For all we know, he can be packing up his bags to leave. You can't make assertions like that just because we THINK he's still in Toronto or because we THINK we know what he's doing in Toronto. Just let things flow. We'll know soon enough.
