This has become pathetic and Kawhi is a diva

On the 6th, don't we lose a couple mil of salary b/c of AD trade? Think we need to sign him 1st

We should go after Danny Green and offer him the room exception and allow him to recruit Kawhi as well.

That scenario can't happen bud cause if we trade for AD before we attempt to sign Kawhi, no more 32m available in cap space.

Kawhi only gets his near max of 32m if he signs first and then we can execute the AD deal.

So you are the opposite of the “modern” NBA Fan espn was describing today: they like and support individual players, regardless of team affiliation. And since we’ve entered the age of the mercenary FA, there will be fewer and fewer players who stay with teams beyond one contract. Although just getting Kawhi to sign One contract is hard enough.

This has pretty much went according to the plan that supposedly kawhi's team laid out. He was gonna meet with everyone and have a decision by the 4th.

Honestly just happy it didn't end with a decision from Toronto today because that more then likely would have been the decision we all didn't want

Not an iota of regret for missing out on some serious FA’s. Prefer to die trying, than live wondering. Glad to see the lakers ride this out till end and not step off the gas.

I'm proud of the Lakers silence during this process. That's probably very encouraging to Kawhi and his camp. Toronto on the other hand LOL ..... Nice helicopter

yeah it was pretty obvious they were gonna take their time

at this point kawhi and his people must be having a ball watching everyone have a meltdown over this and how the "experts" are just throwing out pure speculative BS

Kawhi is a diva but he earned his free agency, sacrificed millions in trying to find his final landing spot (ie ditched the supermax in SA) and hasn't really led any team/fanbase on like that George individual.

He's definitely worth the wait, but I do hope we lined up viable player options to help load manage our #LAK3show.

This whole board is melting down including myself. Sucks cuz you and I are looking at it from you're hurting the team by not signing and getting the best players available stand point because at this point it's just leftovers...

Cheer up at least we aren’t the Knicks. Have a laugh at these First Take and Undisputed Theme’d memes if the news of the Knicks cancelling their meeting with Kawhi was a trending topic: 0E6CDC32-1DD3-4986-86D8-04B88D97DB96.jpeg 93890BD9-222E-4267-BC4A-129E9A97A51C.jpeg 02BFF4E6-48D8-48A6-883F-33DA74984C08.jpeg 1C0F175F-3D13-49AD-929C-69CA7DA50547.jpeg 56E437FC-7C11-4A08-9E35-EF7C4625EFAB.jpeg

With Kawhi flying to Toronto, it felt like a decision to stay was imminent. So him needing another day or two to decide is good news in my opinion.

Curious if he stays in Toronto for that decision making or if he’s coming back to LA now.

its pretty clear guys like cousins and green are simply waiting to see what kawhi does

either way, those are two guys (as well as korver and iggy) who they need to go after regardless if kawhi comes or not

I mean if Kawhi comes here, I don’t think his delayed decision making would have hurt us all that much. Rondo, KCP, etc to surround a Kawhi/Bron/AD trio is adequate.

Now if he doesn’t sign and we’re left with those kind of players as the main pieces around just Bron and AD, I’m gonna be upset.

Only thing that worries me are him and Toronto working together to prolong this as long as possible to weaken the Lakers chances by leaving us with leftovers? If he resigns with the Craps I will believe this to be true because I'm sure he knew all along where he was gonna go.
