The emotional roller coaster seems to be taking it's toll on LakersBall..

Let's take a minute to think about this from Kawhi's point of view.

    Carter lays out his plans.
    1. Have a discussion with Magic about Lakers FO, and meet with the Lakers FO.
    2. Meet with the Clippers FO.
    3. Regroup the team and fly to Toronto
    4. Meet with the Raptors FO to allow them the opportunity for the last pitch.
    5. Let Kawhi process the information, regroup the team to discuss the options.
    6. Notify teams involved and announce decision.

From Kawhi's perspective, he is just going through a professional approach to making a huge personal and business decision.

We are still as in it as we've always been. Let's just let Kawhi finish everything he needs to do to feel confident in making his decision to come home to the Lakers.

If he’s staying in Toronto the decision would be made by tonight, I doubt he shafts us on the 4th.

Canada day was July 1st, so if he was staying, why not announce then?

I'm joking, I know it's hard to not try and read into everything, but its a fruitless effort.

He hadn't met with Toronto yet. But that day it was 99pct we were signing him and he didnt announce it then.
Point is I think he thinks of stuff like that
He wouldnt announce hes leaving Canada on Canada day
And I think the converse is also correct he wouldnt announce hes leaving America on America day

    Trying to understand this..
The advantage the Clippers have is their depth, but in order for Kawhi to go there he wants them to trade away their depth for Another Star..?
So the Clippers trade away all their depth & still only have one Star to pair with Kawhi vs. LBJ & AD..?
    Doesn't add up.

Ok, let's try to end this:

At the very beginning of the process, Chris said he was going to me with the Lakers, Clippers, and "fly to Toronto," to meet with them. So, we knew this already, that is nothing new.

Now, as to why he fly back and listen? It is simple. He went on a heck of a journey with them, relationships were built, bonds were forged, and he was treated very well by all reports and handled in such a way it earned his respect & trust.

He probably thinks he owes it to them to hear them out at the very least; and yes, that includes flying out to Toronto because he is a first class act ame wants to do things the right way irrespective of his decision.

Whatever he decides, he has my respect.

As always, go Lakers with or without Kawhi.

Honestly think the only thing the clippers have are the quiet comfort of not being the Lakers.
    Everything else is just spin

Since Kawhi has a crib in Toronto, why didn't they meet at his home? I'm hoping all this is just courtesy meeting and then go back to Cali to announce his real desire. The Lakeshow! I mean did you not see all the damn fun he was having in Cali,.... The brother was wearing a damn winter jacket out of the plane in Toronto

So when we were interviewing with Kawhi and Co, Laker's chances of signing were being blown up everywhere
Now Toronto is meeting, or about to meet and Toronto's chances are being pushed by the likes of Rose
No noise on the Clippers because there never was any chance there, especially without a #2 star.

This seems normal and expected to me but let's face it, no noise has been anything like the Laker's noise. You can say well we are the most popular team so that's normal but the truth is when all the Clipper paid-for hype was going on we were non-existent on the subject. Now the media by far is giving the Lakers the most attention. And I am hesitant to give Rose too much cred on this one, you can literally see the hatred in his eyes when he says "Lakers" I think he wants to speak a Toronto signing into existence just by yapping about it but he ain't got no Lavar Ball powers like that.

Nope. I think the Clippers are a distant third choice.

    It’s us or the Raptors.

So my theory all along has been that this weirdo dude with the robotic laugh was just his persona, like Larry the cable guy (that's not his real voice, gilbert gotfried too, now you know) and that he's really a well spoken, outgoing guy in his everyday with everyone close to him, like in his draft express pre-draft videos where he talks a lot. I think he really is who we see on tv. I wouldn't be surprised if he took another week to decide. I honestly don't think he cares about any fans of the other teams. I partly don't believe he evens care about what uncle dennis wants. This dude is out for him. A straight up android assassin. I like that.

As long he's not sign with Clippers I am fine, and I never was a fan of Kawhi's game.

I honestly think he does care about Lakers fans.
    He grew up as one.
    He can empathize

Take this for what you will - but my friend works directly for a clippers exec and said they haven't even met with Kawhi yet officially, but are scheduled to.

Seriously me too. I can kinda see the comparisons to Kobe, but if you have all the skills like kobe and you dont have the mentality, it's not the same. Still a good player, but I even feel like he moves slower than kobe and his handles are not as quick. That high release on his jumper looks funny too, and I cant shoot for s**t with this guy in NBA 2K.
