    I'm not forgetting it, I included that. :D

    I'm just saying I think the Lakers' plan all along was signing two max FAs, one of them being LeBron, then trading whatever assets necessary to get AD. Bonus points if we keep any kids at all, so Kuzma is the bonus kid.

    Okay that makes sense. I think the 2nd one you should also leave open though because we don't know how we're filling the team out yet. If we nail the role player aspect of FA, I might still take the 2nd one. There's still solid adds to be made out there.

    In that case it's more like:
    LeBron + AD + role players
    LeBron + Max FA + kids

    Stephen A Hole now saying that Kawhi going to the Lakers would be a "weak move," because it would shift the balance of power too much in the league. He thinks Kawhi should go to the Clippers because it would be more fair.

    ??????

    The Lakers shouldn't be allowed to pursue top talent if they have the money because it would be unfair to the rest of the league?

    What if his beloved Knicks got Kyrie and KD and Kawhi decided to sign for the Room Exception? I bet he'd be okay with that.

    Anyone who says Kawhi going to the Lakers is a weak move is a brainless, posing, hyperbolic, gas bag.

    Kawhi is 27. AD is 26. Lebron is done in 3 years. AD and Kawhi will own this league for a decade. That's what you sell. Lebron is gonna be done in 3 years. This is Kawhi and ADs team like it was Kobe and Shaq minus the b****y drama.

    I still take LeBron + Max FA + kids because the remaining FA's on the market right now aren't as good as the sum of Ball, Ingram, Hart and #4. And vet minimums and room exception (ie Danny Green) can be picked up in either case. That's why I feel it's Kawhi or bust.

    But with the rumors that this may drag on even longer, I guess I can take some solace in knowing that this HAS to be done by July 6th at the latest. We’ve got a trade with multiple teams that needs to get done on that day, so we need to have put ink to paper for our cap space signings by the time we do that trade.

    You're still underestimating AD if you think we in any way busted. LeBron, AD, and veterans are still better than the kids. It's just the truth even if you liked the kids.
