I really can't imagine LeBron viewing himself like that but maybe he really is that secure in his legacy. I know for a goddamn fact tho that Bron is gonna come out hard for the FMVP

Denver is a pretty good value bet at those odds +1600. They were 1st place in the West this past season and brought the entire team back.

Lebrons #1 goal now is to extend his career as long as he can so he can play with bronny when he joins the league. That's his dream and to do that, I assume he'd happily sacrifice his numbers and let Kawhi be the number one on the Lakers

    I'm skeptical of that insider.

I don't think LeBron would throw around 20/6/6. Those would be his worst numbers since his rookie season. I think a guy like LeBron, who has consistently beaten the odds would be thinking more along the lines of 18/12/12 or something like that. If he's going to take something off his scoring, he's going to want to do more other things. And I certainly don't think he'd picture himself at 35, 36, and 37 years old being Scottie Pippen locking people down defensively.

There's also another post where this guy claims that Kawhi is leaving 2.6m on the table and I'm just not sure I understand that at all. Why that much money? That's just slightly more than a minimum contract, who is taking that? Someone needs the extra 500k to come play with Kawhi, LeBron, and Davis? That doesn't really make much sense. Not that I'd ask him to, but if he were going to sacrifice money, wouldn't it be more than that so they can get Danny Green or something?

Everything else makes sense. The 2+1, the load management, AD and LeBron saying what needs to be said to schmooz Kawhi.

I'll take this one with a big grain of salt.

I think the Scottie part is for Pitching purposes. He really doesn’t mean let’s be real

It just doesn't sound like the truth to me. If you were Kawhi and you heard that, wouldn't you be skeptical? Not that LeBron wouldn't be willing to take a backseat, all indications are that he will, but LeBron at his age is suddenly going to be a defensive bulldog/stopper? I'd be like c'mon man. We both know that's not going to happen. When **** hits the fan, it'll still be me (Kawhi) guarding the best players.

Like I said, in a pitch you still want to be truthful even if you're stretching things. If I was LeBron, I sell Kawhi on me being Magic or Kidd or something. I want to make everyone else better. I'll take the ball as much as needed, but I'm still feeding you and AD all the time. Now if you guys want a night off or whatever, give it to me and I can still dominate, but when all three of us are going strong, you (Kawhi) will be the man taking the shots, then AD, then me last. That message says the same thing as "I'll be Pippen" but it doesn't sound like BS in my opinion.

Like I said, there's some things that make sense from that post and some that just don't ring true, but I'll take it with a grain of salt. If Woj or Shams leaks it today then I'll give this guy some credit and maybe we really are seeing LeBron admit the end of the road for himself. Also I'd be curious to see a Pippen-LeBron. I don't know if he's got that in him.

Maybe a Houston Rockets Pippen. Outside of that, I don't see it.

That AppleInsider guy claimed on reddit 15 mins ago that Cris Carter confirmed the Kawhi Deal and jersey hanging in the rafters on First Take. However I am/was watching FT and CC said the meetings haven't even concluded, he said nothing about a done deal or any other specifics. CC also said that there won't be a decision today or tonight, earliest tomorrow because Kawhi will still meet with Toronto

Why would Lebron say how much he would average, that just sounds weird. Let alone, compare himself to one of the best defenders of all time.

If anything, Lebron would play a Magic role on a team with Cap and Worthy.

Also, why would LeBron be getting LESS assists in this scenario?

For what it's worth that appleguy22 person says New Balance is the hold up as they get their stuff in order. @Mr. Rambis do you have that same feeling?

Carter seems like the most plugged in the guy since the beginning, this is going to suck.

Although not ideal, I wouldn't feel too bad waiting a few more days. Most of the solid role players we were hoping to get for vet minimum contracts already made their deals....for way more than the vet minimum lol. Our plan B of D'Angelo is off the board. Plan C was to fill out the roster with depth, but alot of the guys we would have targeted were off the board in the first 4 hours Sunday.

At this point who cares? The high impact journeymen are gone. We're pot commited so might as well keep going.
