There's a zero percent chance that Klay will be available. This is just his agent posturing with the Warriors to have the max contract ready to go Sunday at 3PM. They'll both happily sign it at 3:01PM.

If the Warriors hesitate because of the ACL though, then he should immediately sign a max contract with LAL. Sure it'd be a bummer to have to basically redshirt him next season, but he should be getting back into rhythm around February and March just in time to get into the playoff hunt. He'd be the perfect complement to LeBron/AD.

It's a big risk on our part with leBron having so few valuable years left...can we really afford to wait on Klay? And will he even be the same player? I worry about giving a 30-year old coming off ACL surgery that kind of bag and relying on him to come back at full strength to make that title run...

ACL isn't as bad as it used to be. I'd be more worried about whoever gives Durant that max deal.

Either way I'm not sure it matters, he's going to stay in GS.

    agreed. Achilles much much worse.

I think Klay stays unless GS is stupid and plays around (whcih they won't given what happened to KD)

Just a double jersey Nike money grab tbh (sirron probably)

But sirron, Kob did the same thing. (Me probably)

Eh, Bron still a SOB by wearing 6 as one final f*** the kids moment to 1)Zo, 2)BI, 3)Hart, 4)Moe, 5)Bonga, 6)JJ (sirron probably)

Live look at Bron trying to get Lance to release that number to him.

Did anyone else see the Athletic article with sources saying that LeBron is going to approach Kawhi with the idea of LeBron being the third star? That he'd take a backseat to Kawhi and AD as they needed? Basically doing what Wade did in 2012?

Man how do you beat that pitch? All the money opp, the team, the prestige, the star studded cast, the rest you need, and LeBron f***ing James saying he'll take the backseat to you.

God I hope he signs here. We have the chance to be legendary. I hope Kawhi sees it.

I mean of all people who is most capable of doing it, it’s Lebron who loves playing distributor. Oh you’re gonna double Kawhi or AD? Free path to the lane for Lebron.

I think someone posted it earlier off of reddit, it was a really good read. If true I can’t see a better pitch either. I actually do believe LeBron would be willing to do that to an extent at this point of his career too, because he saw how quickly trying to carry a team can lead to a playoff killing injury, and how tough the west truly is. It’s win-win for LeBron if he does this, he gets a shot at more rings to try and tie at least Kobe if not MJ, he gets to look unselfish, he gets to be on likely the best team in the league again.

It's funny on my computer I'd have to pay for a subscription to read it but phone has a free app and I did. Said LeBron would play like he did with Wade and Bosh that first year and deferred to Wade because it was his city and team when he joined. These guys could feel like they were on an all star team or on a US Olympic squad every game. Ought to be some amazing basketball to be seen when they get it going after familiarizing.

The main reason I can actually picture this so easily, is that we kind of saw it last season a lot of the time. LeBron lacked aggression, a sense of urgency, it wasn’t until later that he said he was going into “playoff mode”. If he played the same style of play he tried next to Ingram and Ball next to AD and Kawhi instead it would be night and day and no one would complain.

Why take shots at Kobe? What purpose does that serve right now? Do these reporters really hold grudges this long?
