    That could be true, but what about the way Magic moves via Twitter or his hot "takes" tells you he's leaky.

    And then Magic then gets in touch with Ramona to water down the leaks...

    Again, dude is loud by himself...why silently leak anything (see getting in front of media and resigning loudly haha).

    The leak game...ain't Magic's lane.

    Imagine in your scenario where we don't get Kawhi, and end up filling out the roster with more talented depth. I guarantee all the talking heads, who have said the best move is to break up the space, will flip the switch and start bashing on the Lakers for their failure to get a max FA.

    Basically what I’m reading is that Dennis and Kawhi can arrange a meeting with Magic, but Lakers can’t officially be a part of that.

    Yeah, something about this doesn't smell right. By this standard, Uncle Dennis couldn't be in the meeting. I highly doubt that.

    LOL. The League is SCARED AF right now if they're saying Magic can't be part of pitch meetings. Didn't Lakers bring celebrities to the pitch meetings in the past? Those celebs have nothing to do with the Lakers so are they not allowed to attend? I'm pretty sure other teams bring people that are not affiliated with the team to pitch meetings...

    Whatever, as long as AD can be part of it, we're good.

    Fam what have we learned about the media? They often contradict themselves and it continues.

    Magic can't be part of an official Lakers pitch because he's no longer of official capacity within the Lakers...so why is he restricted by any official rules? That s*** makes no sense haha.

    Media is just fear mongering again....nothing to see here. But it's crazy to see the disparity in Espn's reporting vs the local media reporting it.

    So, in trying to piece everything together, I'm wondering if maybe there is no *official* prohibition on having guys like Magic in the room during a team pitch, but given Magic's history of (alleged) tampering, the league is making clear that they would view his participation in any meeting as just that. It's a private organization, they have some ability to craft policy on the fly as they see fit.

    You sit Kawhi down with whomever he wants. If the league wants to start coming up with random new rules about why Magic can’t be there, I hope Jeanie has a team of lawyer ready. Other teams do it all the time and now suddenly, wait, we’re actually gonna enforce the rules now? f*** off.

    We’re in agreement here, the media is trying to start s*** again. Soon as we are “a serious threat to land Kawhi” suddenly these wild reports come out and Magic is “breaking league rules!” again. Please, the Lakers may not be the best run team in the league, but they’re not complete morons.

    This league rule stuff is total BS. Everyone tampers and the league is well aware of it. Somehow the rules only
