    So, if one of Kyrie, Butler, Kemba, DLO or even Klay agree to sign with the Lakers immidiately, do we call off the meeting with Kawhi..?
    I can see Kawhi being the type of guy to take his time in Free Agency.

    Agreed. If we had a verbal agreement with one of the max guys, then we probably are not in the hunt for Kawhi. Looks like we won't really know until mid to late next week.

    I’m glad we’re getting a meeting, but I hope it’s sooner than this. Free agency starts Sunday and we don’t even get a meeting until Tuesday? That could cost us Butler or some other handful of top free agents while waiting if Kawhi stays in Toronto or goes elsewhere.

    I read that he was meeting clippers on Tuesday, 7/2...which means he could be meeting us on Monday, 7/1. At least I hope we are meeting him that day?

    If I'm the Lakers though...you need to contact all your back-ups on Sunday, 6/30 and let them know you're super interested. That goes for role players as well as minimum players. We need to make sure we make contact with all these guys.

    “Is this worse than Durant joining Golden State?”

    Perfect fit, perfect scenario, hometown player.
    We had one d****** (PG) f*** up the master plan, let's hope Kawhi is smarer than that.

    It's crazy to think we were aiming to get LeBron, PG13 and AD together and had PG just been SMARTER...we would have had that already. SIgh...

    Let's hope Kawhi is smart enough to see that it's going to be HIS team as soon as next year as LeBron continues to decline.
