    I hope he signs a 4-year deal so we don't have to cater our cap around possibly getting him again in 2 years and thus lose out on players that can help us win right now.

    In fact, I hope he signs a deal where he'll expire the year that LeBron's contract is up.

    Did you even watch it? The returning to Toronto part was sourced, the Clippers potential was opinion. People say that the Clippers thing is just Woj, when it isn't. Amick today mentioned the possibility of Kawhi and Butler there.

    Yes I watched the whole f***ing thing. He repeated over and over again that it was his opinion. He has a source saying Kawhi likes Toronto, the source is almost definitely Kawhi's Uncle.

    Then he says it's opinion that the Clippers are next up. And by the way the same f***ing guy just said that Kawhi will now meet with the Lakers. So again: calm down before calling anyone else embarrassing. You want to be pessimistic? That's fine. That's reasonable. That's no reason to call people who have hope in this situation embarrassing, especially since we just made the moves to have a max contract available.

    TRD...I love you man. you literally speak exactly my thoughts and I don't have to say s***.

    At this point...I have so much confidence in this front office...whether it's a star or not...the fact that they're getting s*** done and have put us in this position is all we can ask for. You have LeBron + AD + Kuz as your core, with max cap space to get potentially kawhi, kyrie, butler OR break it up and get D-Lo + other pieces (and if we break it up, that cap number goes up by $900k for each spot that is filled so if we break it up amongst 3 players, we get an extra $1.8M in cap room to get us to $33.8M).

    Exactly. This was the right move regardless of a max deal, but I think there's at least some hope that we've opened this space specifically for Kawhi. Cuffs and Kuzma had some Twitter exchanges with an owl that apparently is a reference to Toronto as they were trolling. The reports that AD would only waive his trade kicker for "the right type" of player. I think there's at least a good chance we've got Kawhi's attention.

    Agreed. He wouldn't do this for D-Lo IMO...i feel he'll only do it for a superstar caliber player.

    This probably explains all the D-Lo to LAL talk...ppl were getting scared that the Lakers were gonna open up max cap space and have a real shot at Kawhi so they needed to push this rumor that D-Lo is coming back to LAL cuz we actually had cap space in his range.

    In fact, at this point the most embarrassing factor in this equation is the fans. We have been massively manipulated and played. I include myself. My hope is that we learn from this. WOJ has ZERO credibility and ANYONE doing business with him should be run out of LA. THIS means you Ballmer. This guy should be booed every time he sets foot in LA.

    The "embarrassing" crack by @lavar-is-trash alluded to us as Laker fans believing that Ballmer and the Clippers paid (in one way or another, access to all their execs certainly, money literally probably not) Woj and the rest of them to shape opinion for the Clips and against the Lakers.

    But after reading this, how can he begin to even doubt it?

    Does Ballmer pay Woj for his services? I dont know. Probably not honestly.

    Does Woj undoubtedly show favoritism to the Clippers? Of course he does. Not debatable whatsoever.
