    Lakers fans always commit and represent so well in Summer League. I love it!

    Who is this guy?

    Positive: Age, wingspan

    Negative: the usual suspects...sucks at the FT line, can't shoot a lick. He also lacks length. 6-4 is not exactly tall for a SF.

    That would be nice but maybe let's pump the brakes on the unrealistic expectations. Statistically, any second-rounder has the odds against him.

    I'm not sure our scouts' hands are completely on this one. Looks to be sucky a Klutch solid...either to grease the wheels for a Kcp discount to round out the roster or for the Morris twins and Noel to do that for us.

    If he was a little older, I would say he would be an immediate role player with that NBA body tho. I'm excited to see what we got, but if he's any semblance and PJ Tucker, I'm game. We need dogs on this team.

    Apparently his hands are the same size as Kawhi's 9.75" hands.

    He's still only 18 and could possibly grow more too. Wouldn't count that out.

    Rookies are getting better and better imo. Guys that used to be raw as hell back in the day are now playing like vets due to years and years and years of AAU Ball

    There's a lot of 2nd round talent that gets overlooked all the time too.

    Jokic, Draymond, Beverly, IT, Marc Gasol, Deandre Jordan.

    He's way more of a guard than a forward. He compares to Marcus Smart physically though so he can guard 1-4 in today's game. His length is actually his best attribute physically. I wouldn't focus too much on his fg% this early in his career, there's time for that. His bigger worry is decision making (which contributes to his low fg%). More of a project than you'd like but also has unique potential. A good pick.

    I'm a bit concerned about his weight. Hope he trims down a bit going into training camp. I can definitely see the potential physically for him to develop into a pest on defense.

    Yeah, one of his knocks was his conditioning and effort on that end, if he can push himself to improve that area, focus on his shot and defense, and he can carve out a role on this team.

    I can see the PJ Tucker comparison. If you took Ron Artest and grafted him together with Charles Barkley, you'd get this guy - BODY WISE. I am not saying he has that level talent, just that he looks like a combination of those two body types to me.

    Anyway, good on the Lakers for taking a shot on this guy.

    like this pick. not expecting anything in year 1, but the tools are there. guys with his frame have been able to have success. it will rest on his shot, just like it did for pj tucker. took him a while, though.

    Looks interesting and looking forward to Summer League already. Thoughts:

    1. I think I have forgotten about Josh Hart already, and for that I feel shame;
    2. Lakers fans are desperate for bench help and we will surely see more in him than we should, but so it goes with draft pick expectations;
    3. He was criticized for being fat, but you know he will get in shape playing with LeBron, so I don’t see that being an issue. Plus, Magic already set the standard: no fatties allowed!;
    4. What I really want to know is does he have any “dog” in him and is he a gym rat. If so, he can make some noise with that heft and wing span.

    Gym rat, probably not. I've heard he doesn't have a great motor and doesn't quite focus on defense often. But we'll see.
