    No. The fact that Rob didn't have this worked out prior and now that the 3rd team has been included...the trade will be completed July 6 and we're at the mercy of a 3rd team taking Wagner/Bonga and if they don't...we don't get our max slot.

    That’s why he left it up to The Pels to figure out what they wanted for the #4. That’s why ALL the details weren’t released during the initial agreement and EVERYONE was freaking out about our ability to not involve a third team and inability to get max.

    He can’t force the Pelicans into a deal they didn’t want. NOW that the third team was found, he can move the three guys AND get max.

    It was a smart move to give it to the Pels to find what they wanted.

    I posted a tweet to a story about what Woj and Ramona were reporting and a video of Ramona saying what she did on the Jump I think, and said if it’s true it’s a bad look. All I can do is go off what’s being reported at the time, and you’d think you can trust some of the most credible people at ESPN to get details like this right. I’m allowed to change my perspective (and be even more annoyed because I trusted these reporters) when further reporting comes out and clears things up, especially when the new info comes from the people who were saying this stuff in the first place, lacking even a correction note or anything like that. Still not happy thrilled with how this is all shaking out with the details, the stuff on the margins, but we had to get AD, so I’m good with it in the end. Thanks for taking notes to try and come at me later with though.

    Woj just backpedals all quickly like he hasn't been definitively reporting the EXACT opposite these past few days. Was he just trying to make us look stupid?

    Hopefully this is just an appetizer to the crap sandwich of backpedaling he'll be doing when Kawhi signs here. Dare we dream...

    Pelicans trades #4 to Atlanta for multiple draft picks.

    It’ll end up where Atlanta will probably take on Wagner, Bonga, Jones as part of the three team trade which will give us max space when finalized on the 6th.

    Looking at the AD trade as a 3 teamer with with ATL and seeing how we can only bring an additional 1.5-1.7m-ish (the wiggle is due to the salary cap not being set yet) contract along with AD (must waive trade kicker), here are the salaries that the Lakers can trade for:

    Pels:
    Jahlil, Wood, Frank Jax, Kenrich Williams, Bertans

    ATL:
    Jaylen Adams, Issac Humphries

    It will essentially be Moe, Bonga & JJ and any other necessary incentives for one of those guys above along with possible 2nd rounders. As you can see, we're limited.
