    If I’m the Lakers, I stress our FO loyalty angle really hard. I think that means a lot to a guy like Kawhi. I think one of the reasons he turned on San Antonio is because they didn’t stand behind him. I don’t know if I would bring up other specific examples of other teams that did not, like Boston with IT or Clippers with Blake. That could be seen as disrespectful by Kawhi but who knows.

    I still don't get why people (or Vegas for that matter) are peddling this Kawhi --> Clippers bulls***. Just because Clippers management stalked him at his home games and left love-letters in his locker, that doesn't mean HE WANTS to go there. That franchise is for bums. Always has been.

    Vegas knows things. I put as much stock in their odds as any reporters speculation. Their only angle is making money. Their odds aren't just tossed against the wall out of nowhere.

    The more I think about it the more my instincts tell me it might be better the Lakers spread the money for depth. There are a lot of impactful players whom the Lakers can get who can really make this team click next year.

    I would welcome another max guy, kinda hoping for it, but I think the spreading of the money to 3 or 4 guys is a good thing too.

    Yeah, I agree. I normally defer to Vegas odds makers. That's why I'm so perplexed about these Kawhi numbers. Why would he want to go there?

    I'll update in more detail when I have time, as lots went down with regards to FA today, but I will say that on the Kawhi side, we're waiting to see what type of revenue New Balance generated for Kawhi from this championship. Since we're working with them, we'll get those numbers, and if they're as paltry as I expect, we can compare them to what Kobe, Pau, etc made endorsement wise after their rings to show him what he is missing out on. That will definitely speak to Dennis, but if Kawhi feels an emotional attachment to his Raptors teammates, there's not much anyone can do.
