Clipps have 2 max slots open... and Jerry West. We have Rambii and Rob. Let's hope Klutch is as powerful as i hope they are.

The quieter the better imo. Though it could always mean some dark horse shows up and swoops him out of our hands.

    Hey

Someone reported on Twitter that Jeanie spoke to fans last night at Staples Center, can you confirm/deny?

I didn't see this going back 5 pages but what do y'all think about Windy's theory... just a lot of hot air?

If the Pels prefer to deal with the C Bags then go right ahead. AD already said he isn't going to sign there long term.

Griffin really think Ainge is gonna put Tatum in a deal lol. It's obvious they haven't sent a legit offer. I don't even think they've offered Tatum or that Memphis pick.

Pelicans value Tatum the most (sad but true)
Boston isn’t giving up Tatum w/ Kyrie news
Pelicans have time before draft to look at offers
    Lakers have best offer
    Pelicans leak most competitive offer
Pelicans want Boston to be jealous and go all in to get their number 1 guy
Time ticking, trade after draft doesn’t make sense, no leverage at all
Boston says no after Pelicans time period for them is up
    Pelicans accept Lakers deal

Can’t hate Griffin for wanting his number 1 guy. He’s just doing his part to try and get that. If Boston was giving up Tatum this deal would have been done and over with.

I think with Klay out most if not all of next year with the ACL tear and then KD out for all next year the West is wide open. The many teams know this as well as the Pelicans. I could say where we used to have all the leverage because no one else's offer was solid or worthy I think these recent injuries to GSW could actually hurt us by making the competition for AD more active. Teams see the gamble TOR took to trade for Kawhi and it paid off. What do you think is going to happen with AD. I could see a similar this.

A bummer for us but not surprising.

I don't get the fascination with Tatum... He seems like a nice kid and he definitely is a good player but I would say he is on par with Ingram. I think Ingram has greater upside. It is weird to me that they value him so much. I wonder if it is more of the Pels not wanting to do a deal with the Lakers rather than Tatum truly being the Pels' #1 target.

If our guys were say on the Wizards I would imagine that Griffin would have pulled the trigger on that immediately.

But, that's why Rich Paul has been telling other teams that AD will be a one-year rental. I just don't see anyone providing what Griffin wants.

Clips don't have 2 max slots. They have to make a few moves before that happens.

You're right. They can easily make that 2nd spot open though.

    1) Who even cares what Jeannie and Kurt say at this point? Does anyone expect them to admit they're out of their depth and likely not landing any quality FAs or trades this summer? OF COURSE they said change is coming. Anything less and they'd be burned at the stake.

    2) I've been a little skeptical of @Mr_Rambis ever since he started talking about the NBA sending in a team of consultants to examine the Lakers FO and determine whether the league needs to wrest control of the team away from Jeannie and co. I've never heard of this happening before and as bad and embarrassing as the Lakers have been, this type of remedial action doesn't seem warranted at this point (unlike, say, a Donald Sterling situation.) Can someone please confirm this is a thing that actually happens? Where the league sends in a 5-person team to do an analysis, then sends in a (according to Mr. Rambis) much larger team to swoop in and manage the future of the organization. I really want to believe Mr. Rambis, it's so much fun having someone on here with "insider" knowledge, and maybe this practice has been well established, but it sounds like total bunk to me and I'd love it if someone on here knew anything about this. Thanks.

Well they don't have a pick in this years draft and Gallo will have to be traded with no salary going back.

I've asked my friend who writes for the Athletic and covers the Clippers (and used to write for ESPNLA before that)...he said he has never heard of such thing nor does he believe that actually happened. He doesn't know for sure but he's at least in the circles with actual NBA people (mainly the Clippers)...and he said "there's just no f***ing way that happened".

I don't want to question Mr. Rambis either but some of the stuff he says...I've had to double check with my sources who are actually working in the league or for teams..and they just shot it down like it was asinine. Some of what Mr. Rambis said was true though regarding Kawhi and New Balance so I think some of his sources are right but maybe others concerning Lakers front office and what not are not?
