If they actually do like him that much (they can't, there's no way), take one of the other assets off the table and put in Wagner and Hart.

This is the way it should be. We should pump up our young guys. The fact that other teams believe in Kuz this much is a great thing as it may have raised his value enough that we keep a better asset in the number 4 pick.

I don’t get how Laker twitter doesn’t get that

I think what Laker twitter doesn’t get, is if this is true how the deal hasn’t been agreed to yet. Because if NO told me “we want Kuzma and you can keep the #4 pick”, I’d have immediately said deal. If we keep ONE of our 4 main assets in this trade it’s a huge win, doesn’t matter which one.

He might be serving up more than that if he’s untouchable for AD

I like how she has her comments disabled now too, that’ll fix everything, isolating yourself from any criticism and huddling up with your inner circle.

Throwing in Kuzma instead of #4 makes getting Kawhi even bigger. Your front line would be Kawhi, James and Davis. And then you have your Guard who can shoot and play PG in an era where that skill set is paramount. AND, you have him at a low salary for 4 years. It would be like getting a franchise QB in the 3rd round(Russell Wilson) from a financial standpoint. I really believe Garland has a shot at being the best player in this draft. He can shoot the gym lights out and he is fast as a whip.

Lonzo and Ingram would be viewed just as well as Boston’s guys if we played the PR game better

All these "reports" all of a sudden. I don't like it. Usually ends badly.

I don’t think the Lakers should blink on this.

I still think the Pels will want to fleece the Lakers because they got a taste of that meal last February, and they are not going to want to take much less than that now. Probably just human nature to feel that way.

Also, I don’t think their ownership’s general position has changed. They are not going to want to turn another Western conference team into a powerhouse. Trying to get a kitchen sink deal is the best they can do to protect themselves and save face if they make a deal with the the Lakers. I cant blame them for that.

I mean, Kuz was one of the worst defenders on the team too... If his shot is falling it’s minimized, but when it’s not he goes right back to the bench because he brings little else besides scoring in bunches. I like the dude for what he brings, a scoring punch on a super cheap contract, but I do not view him as our best asset at all, because BI and Zo are both much more 2-way players.

I just honestly doubt that’s the hold up. Especially at this stage.

I think everyone wants to look like they were playing hardball and negotiating to the fullest. Especially after the trade deadline fiasco.

From the looks of it, it sounds like Boston or someone trying to gain leverage back to the Pelicans.

Boston is somehow still involved when RP has already said he wouldn't sign there no matter what? Now we need to somehow flip the #4 for a good player? Kuzma NEEDS to be part of the deal? Nah, it's all smoke trying to make the Lakers give up everything.

If that's the case and that's what our FO should be thinking, then just call Griffin and say ," our offer stands and that's our best offer. Call us if you want to accept." and walk away.

Rich Paul story comes out with AD to Lakers demand...

    Lakers trade package gets leaked....

Hello February again. This needs to get done or the kids have no reason to play nice in the sandbox. That’s twice they were on the table to be given away in 6 months.

Boston sees the end is near and is trying to get in but Rich Paul made things clear.

Clock is striking midnight on Ainge and his “assets” are turning into pumpkins.

That’s the problem with holding on to potential picks and young guys too long. Should have cashed in those chips long ago.
