Yep and at horrible time for this last ditch attempt with the series and also his free agency. Though he still likely gets his max you think?
Terrible reaction by the Toronto crowd to the KD injury. I don’t like him, but I don’t want to see him injured, can’t believe these fans cheered this. I hope it’s not his achilles, he should not have come back if he wasn’t 100% regardless of team frustration, he has to think about his own free agency too.
He will absolutely get max as long as it’s not his achilles, and even then if it’s not that bad of an injury to it. He’s still going to be only 31 going into next season.
Raptors should be closer, but they seemed a little more shaken than GS for some reason after the KD injury for some reason. They got down 10 or 11 pretty quickly there, but they stormed back and have it to 5 at halftime. This game is theirs for the taking, I would treat this like game 7 if I were them.
Body language of GSW headed into the locker room was not good. This game will likely be won/ lost in 3Q.
Did you guys see that Klay three pointer?! He’s in the post, dribbles out, and then turns around and nails a three. Man I seriously love watching that guy play.
Harden actively looks for fouls, Curry uses them when he’s put in that situation. Harden has ruined the game imo.
in fairness, toronto's holding like crazy off the ball. the refs tried to clean it up early, but they took a page out of jerry sloan's book and just kept doing it, daring them to muck the game up with whistles. the one where curry left his follow-through up was just poor interpretation by the officials, imo, moreso than trickery by curry. he didn't swing his arm into anyone or move unnaturally like harden does on like, every shot.
right. i can't put these guys in the same class. btw, on that last attempt i don't think van fleet gave him space to land. anyway, to me, curry gets fouled because he has an odd game that's hard to stop. harden "gets fouled" because that's his goal to start the possession. made FGs are a secondary goal, and facilitated by folks' fear of putting him on the line. that's backwards and sucks.
My main complaint is that if an offensive player initiates contact, it’s a no call or an offensive foul. Swinging your arms through, jumping into or back into a defender, should not be considered a foul. I get that it’s hard to make those calls, but Harden’s are so blatant, it needs to be addressed. Even post game, like all the flopping.
The way Curry is going about it reminds me of Reggie Miller, annoying, gamesmanship, but not even close to the level of Harden, who I agree has ruined the game. Curry has been doing that thing where he feels a defender close to his back and stopping, getting the foul. It’s annoying, but defenders should know not to do that by now at the same time.
teams will throw max at him regardless, imo. even if he misses a year on the front end. if i'm the knicks, i definitely do it. suck again this year and preserve space to add another guy, hope kd comes back at 85%. we're not in the boat with lebron, though.
GS still in control of this game after 3, up 6. Raptors kind of blowing it, but really the Warriors championship experience is showing, such great ball movement and composure right now.
Pendulum turned in the fourth. I think the KD re-injury has brought a bit of inevitability to this series. GS isn't going to win without him. Raptors are starting to smell blood.
