Attrition could play a role in who wins.

DMC came up big, and is helping his Summer Payday immensely. Smart move on his part to make it back for the Finals. Several players on GS came close to Triple Doubles. They took one on the road to get Home Court Advantage back. If this goes 6 or 7, they might get KD back for limited minutes. Will be one of their hardest fought victories in the Finals for sure.

Looking forward to seeing the adjustments by Dr. Nurse.

It’s unbelievable how well the Warriors play with all these injuries. Experience, good system, good coaching, I guess. If they were 100% healthy, this would be too easy.

TOR lost primarily because they missed a ton of shots. Compare G1 to G2:
    G1: 50% overall, 39% from 3
    G2: 37% overall, 28% from 3

If you didnt see the game, the box score might suggest that GSW's defense was the reason for the drop off. Watching the game tho and particularly the 2nd half, TOR had a ton of really good shots and just missed them.

Van Vleet in particular plays well off of KL and usually makes his open looks, but not in G2. No one expects Siakam to go 14/17 every game but he missed a ton of easy put backs and chippies too. Lowry just looks lost to me, there's a reason VV is getting his minutes.

You'd think. But then Toronto falls apart like they did last game. That was a blown opportunity if I've ever seen one.

This. GSW didnt really win the game- I think there were less than 5 points scored in the last 5 minutes, something like that. TOR lost the game mostly because they missed alot of very makable shots.

Did you watch the game? GS make 18-0 run in 3 quarter, and in first half refs were killing Toronto with BS fouls. Before Iggi made his 3 point clutch shot, it was traveling that wasn't called on Steph.
And now they need both Buggi and Bogut playing like 30 minutes,

I did in fact watch the game. Are we debating something? I'm saying Toronto blew it - they had a golden opportunity to go up 2-0 with Klay Thompson out for the final 8 minutes and the game close at the end. They didn't make shots when they needed to with plenty of opportunities, Boogie worked them and Iggy knocked down that last three in their faces.

Does GS have enough left to win this series even with their injuries? Maybe. They played like champs there and Toronto was exposed a bit. I don't have a horse in this race. I want Kawhi to lose to further our possible chances to get him. But I also don't really want GS to win either. It's been pretty entertaining thus far.

Toronto is going smoke GS tonight, and when Mark Davis is referee they're 7-0 this season.

Marc Davis, who refereed the Warriors' Game 5 loss to the Clippers in the first round of these playoffs. Draymond Green received his first technical foul of the postseason from Davis when he was called for a charge while Clippers guard Patrick Beverley attempted to put his shoe back on.

Horrible call on Gasol, he didn’t even touch Cousins on that 3 and Cousins got 3 fts.

Klay strained his hamstring. He wanted to play tonight but the team doctors advised against it. Seems like if he can’t do further damage he will play, so I would say it’s likely he can play game 4 or 5, seeing as how there’s 3 days between these games.

The first replay seemed to show Gasol getting him on the elbow, with a lot of contact there

Maybe. But they dont, and injuries are part of the game especially for older/ vet teams.

On the 2nd replay from behind/to the side of Cousins I saw zero contact. Gasol stuck his arm up through Cousins’ arms like towards his face, and didn’t touch him with his body at all, or get under him on the way down. A lot of bad calls on both sides tonight though, not great officiating.
