I thought this was funny. I’d like to keep Kuz, but anyone goes for AD. Kind of weird having Rachel and Woj shouting awkward things live to the entire room though.
Honestly, I want to keep Kuzma but bring him off the bench. Plus, we're likely going to have injuries, so we know if need be, Kuz can slide into the starting lineup. Kuzma needs to be our Lou Williams...if him and Hart can be those guys that come in off the bench and dominate, we'll be in good shape.
He's the guy we have the best chance of keeping in an AD trade due to redundancies for the Pelicans. Griffin loves Ingram. Ingram plays sf. Zion plays pf. Holiday and Lonzo at the guard positions with whoever they take at 4 to grow behind these guys.
KCP's percentages were better when he worked with this guy. Heck we might as well hire him full time, the team needs all the shooting help they can get.
Hire a shooting coach? Please, we’re the Lakers, we’re above that, all you need to learn how to shoot better when you get here is to look at those trophies in the practice facility window, and the retired jerseys and the banners hanging in Staples. Hire a shooting coach, ha, that makes far too much logical sense and requires so little effort, the Lakers like creating unnecessary challenges instead.
Kuz is smart. He is showing improvement and investing in himself, and those kinds of tweets send that message. The contract money is so big now I don’t see how any NBA player, regardless of whether you were drafted or not, would not devote all of their free time to improving. You try to max out that second contract and, if you do, you are golden. Add to that endorsement deals if you have enough pizzaz. Kuz has some skills and he appears to be doing his best to maximize his career. I respect that. I hate to see him go, but wherever he goes I feel he will keep pressing to do his best.
