I don’t really agree with this, other than the trade the house part. Yes we’d want to try and do a not crazy deal, not like the 4-6 picks or whatever the hell they were demanding last February. But AD wouldn’t be wasted here, LeBron probably has one or two great years left, tops, and then Kawhi and AD would take over as he declined, and be here if he decided to leave after year 3 or 4 on his deal or even retire. I’m of the mindset that you add all the superstar talent you can and then figure out the rest later. Ring chasers always pop up and take minimum and exception deals to play with star filled teams.

All I'm hearing is Ball, Ingram, Kuzma, Hart, #4 and future 1sts. I'm not willing to give up all those assets for AD with Lebron/Kawhi already on board. Championship teams need depth and stability. Ring chasers may come, but players like Iguodala and Livingston don't come cheap.

I've heard deals that leave us with Ball, Ingram, the pick, or Kuz. I believe you can make the salaries work while keeping one guy.

I like the kids, but none of them would stop me from pulling the trigger on an AD deal.

If push comes to shove, I don't think there is a deal I wouldn't do for AD if we get a big fish in free agency.

We should be able to keep at least one of BI/Kuz/4th at the very worst. Honestly, we should be able to get him for less than Magic's deadline offer. The factors of Boston's position, their new regime liking BI, and us getting the 4th pick all mean we should be getting him for fewer assets.

    Kawhi/Butler/Kyrie + AD + Bron + 1 kid + ring chasing vets = WCF at least.

Give me that every day of the week

Hey if we can keep one of Ball or Ingram, I'd do it. But I'm not giving up both plus 4-5 other assets. That's just asinine. You could get 2 other allstars for that kind of package.

Ingram + Kuz + #4 + future 1st. That should be more than enough for a disgruntled star with a year left on his contract. What other trade in NBA history yielded a better package? None. So why are we so damn anxious to get played by the Pelicans?

I agree with this but some seem unhappy with the thought of going after guys on the Bradley Beal level.

I also think there's a chance we'll have to overpay a bit for anyone so its going to be tricky for the front office. I'd feel much better if we had better hands at the wheel through this but that ship has sailed at this point. I think we're going to land some guys this summer but the price will be high. I'd love to be wrong though.

I think the guy we likely keep is Kuz. We know the Pelicans like Ingram and Ball. The 4th pick has mystery and can be sold as a potential star (regardless of what history says about that draft position). Kuz plays the same position as Zion or he plays the same position as Ingram. He only makes a couple million next season compares to Ingram and Lonzo which makes salary matching easier.

If we got Kawhi, I would be reluctant to trade all the kids, but in the end, I still do it. AD + Kawhi in their primes for the next 5-7 years is going to win a ring at some point. And we'd still have Lebron for a couple more great seasons as well.

When/ if he signs the supermax, then all the AD trade talk can die. We'll see.

The rumors of KD and/or kyrie going to Brooklyn rather than the knicks is great news for our bidding power for AD. AD only agrees to resign with the knicks with one of those guys there.

What other team is going to be bidding against us? Watch Memphis swoop in and pull an okc.

Three team trade. Cp3 and young players and picks to Noh, AD to Houston. Noh ain’t winning ish in the next few years anyway so might as well pay cp3 to pair with Zion to be a respectable team.

So true. As long as BI has a clean bill of health, our offer can trump Boston's, and I don't even see them going all out for AD with Kyrie's future there in such serious doubt.

    Small update here:
The Griffin leaks are coming from both Griffin and Rich. Both sides know AD most definitely wants out. Griffin is leaking to Woj the desire for him to try to keep Davis as a sign to his new bosses that he's at least exploring all options, rather than jumping right into a trade, which is appeasing him. Rich is leaking to Shams that there's no chance he stays. This is all being orchestrated. Rich and Griffin are friends, and Rich is doing Griffin a solid by leaking that news so that it looks like Griffin tried to convince Davis to stay, but failed. In return, I expect Griffin to send Anthony to a decent home.

As of now, Anthony still very much has his sights set on either LA or NY.
