Eh. I view Mr Rambis like any other person on the Internet with supposed connections. Rumors can be fun to discuss but I don’t put much stock in them.

Either way, He’s provided some interesting topics over the last few days though. We will know how true it all was soon enough

    Hey @Alcindor !

Yes that was an embarrassing mistake! But I was jetlagged so please forgive me. We are meeting with Mr. DeMartini, but only because we want intros to some other people he knows. Our relationship with the new CEO doesn't run as deep and I doubt he is as up to speed with their global partnerships. Unfortunately I can't say more, and it's not super relevant to the Lakers anyways.

Haha and yes! Rob does not like Aaron. Rivalries between top agents run deep. But that is not new information :)

    Hi everyone,
I'm about to sign off until tonight, but I did not want to leave without acknowledging the kind things you have said! So thank you, it definitely makes knowing today is Monday a little nicer :)

And I also see many of you are staff members. Just want to say thanks again for all your hard work in up keeping a site during a time of such unrest in the Lakers organization. It's always the folks behind the scenes who do the most but are never recognized. Please let me know if I can ever be of help in any way!

    Best Regards,
    Mr. Rambis

Seems intros can be done by email, cell phones, et al and about Rob and Aaron, yes it's not new info, my point was the claim of actually being in meetings(plural) with Rob where he disclosed whether by inference, remark or just overtly his disdain for Aaron. In what capacity would you be in meeting(s) with Pelinka at all? It seems unreal anyone that deeply involved with the Lakers would have the time or the inclination for posting on a fringe fan forum nor the desire to be displaced in what could be construed as a burner acct if found out.

    Hey @Alcindor !

You are very much correct. Intros are often done via email. But I am a big proponent of in person meetings - it's easier to get be on the same page about things. Mr. DeMartini is passing through the LA area for other reasons and has graciously agreed to stop by. The AEG folks also are pretty friendly with him and this point and want to catch up. In business, it's always good to maintain connections with powerful folks! You never know where they'll end up tomorrow. Plus, we need a favor from him, anyways ;)

Re Rob-Aaron: I am not involved in any Lakers front office decisions. But I listen in on conference calls where sometimes members of the Lakers front office are sitting in. In this particular case, we were talking about a player who is represented by Aaron, and how a media deal was not working out. I was just there to answer any questions, but Rob and Ryan were on there because he was an active member of the Laker's roster and it was in the realm of endorsements. He was asked what he thought the fallout would be with Aaron from things not materializing, even though Aaron was promised otherwise - and keep in mind, he would have gotten a juicy %. That is when Rob said some not-so-nice things about Aaron. But everyone already knew he didn't like him. There's enough with his dealings with Aaron while Rob was the Lakers GM, and even beforehand from their rivalries as agents, to piece that together. It wasn't a big deal, but just I forget why it came up in the first place. Maybe someone asked about it.

Fringe don't mean bad. Small towns aren't bad, they can be full of good people, same thing in forums sometimes. When people get used to seeing the same names all the time people are a little more accountable for what they say than say, at LG. Fringe forum is meant respectfully here (and I think you got my usage of it) .

It's just an awful lot of explanation and information when I believe a person in the know and with such access wouldn't give anyone questioning their legitimacy the time of day let alone lengthy explanations. Simple enough to private message the site #1, Barnstable, and establish real identity in a private exchange with no threat of exposing one's real identity to anyone else as he would keep that confidential.

Any legitimate poster would be using GIFs or the custom site Laker emoticons rather than simple Smileys TBH

But he’s a friendly troll, so it’s not really a big deal. But insisting on signing every post as Mr. Rambis...

Dude missed the site. Can you blame him?

Just tell him not to die this time. It’s so painful to go through.

No need for Mr. Rambis to do that. If his insight is real he wouldn't want to risk his name getting out there as giving out info.

That being said, I doubt he's a troll at this point. The business info rings true for me... but as a rule of thumb, take ALL, insider info with a grain of salt, just in case. ALWAYS!

Suit yourselves but I know a head honcho over @ Morton salt co and I have sat in on some meetings where I've overheard him say that it's best to take insider info with 5-8 grains of iodized salt.
