I'm not as high on Ingram as you. But there seems to be evidence indicating that is the case. You can provide something to the contrary if you'd like. Again, the ball is in your court.

Well he’s a baby then like all these millennials. Feeling wanted, please, we’d have given him the max he could get from us, that’s as wanted as you can make a player feel. Reports at the time also said PG liked our core and told us not to trade them away for him because he was coming, so... who should we believe here, a lot of after the fact talking.

Your credibility is just your opinion of what happened and whose tweets you pick to support and believe. A good portion of us believed he changed his mind when he got to OKC which is pretty obvious and all that video and George really say. But prior to that through the tamper channels also believe the "don't gut the team" instructions his camp was giving. By that I mean more than just #2 and Ingram who's nowhere close to George's orbit per you, so why would Indy's FO know less than what's obvious to you and take just Ingram and #2 while being furious with us. I agree, enough on this. My problem is when people here state opinions as if they are fact in situations where none of us know for sure.

Yeah. I mean, we committed tampering to the point of the greatest fine in history. We did more than enough to let George know he was wanted here.

I’ll say again, if he wanted to be here. He would be. The path was laid out for him to come and our interest in him was one of the worst kept secrets in the league at that point. His interviews just across as him trying to spin it after the negative backlash he got from fans.

I understand he still has fans here and that’s fine but I’ll be so happy when we can just move on from him and his BS.

Didn’t even interview with an LA team but he wanted to be home. Yeah. Okay man.

Agree. Didn’t feel wanted? WTF man. How much tampering must a team do to make George feel wanted?

To be fair, there was no report that stated PG or his agent told us to not trade our core. It just said the Lakers were advised to not do so. Could have been Kurt Rambis for all we know...

I provided ample evidence to support my claim after you demanded I show you sources. You've provided 0.

You like to dig for that stuff good for you. You have the Woj quote who has been killing us all year with bias against us. I remember as does Weezy above and others here what was being said by "sources" about not decimating the young talent to get him. I don't need to dig it up. Others remember too. It would make sense also at that point in time for Magic and Rob to heed that. In hindsight a mistake if TRULY Ingram and 2 gets George. But we don't know for certain. So, your opinion on what to believe. You do you and I'll do me and never claim my opinion is the be all like you seem to do around here frequently.

    Man are you that forgetful...

You're the one who challenged me to dig all this up, lol. Nobody was even talking about all this until you started it.

Now regarding your and Weezy's souce... Here's what you're referencing...

    Source

Your source is Woj. Same source I posted. And this is much less definitive, as evidenced by the highlighted parts.

If you want to have a productive discussion, back up your claims with evidence. Otherwise, don't try to push agendas without some supporting arguments.

I should have said "definitive proof" then, sorry. Which you do not have. Same sentiment, you are picking which of the quotes to stake your claim that it's a "fact". I'm not claiming "fact". Thanks for digging up the the other Woj quote from the time period most important to what our FO did or did not do with their strategy at the time. I do not believe just Ingram and #2 was going to get it done with a pissed off IN front office. And based on back channels apparently (Woj again with the quote I and others believe) and would make sense per where PG's head was at the time prior to being traded to OKC.

    This is getting sad.

"Definitive proof?" If you standard for that is a quote from Magic, George's agent, or Pritchard, obviously we will never get that.

I'm not selectively choosing quotes to point out a fact. I've thrown all the evidence there is out there on the table. You're just picking and choosing what you want to believe, choosing an inconclusive Woj quote over mountains of evidence to the contrary.

In fact even during the trade times stuff came out like,

    Source

Pretty clear the Lakers wanted to hang onto the #2 pick and Ingram, instead offering a pathetic deal with Randle, Clarkson, and 2 late firsts. Overvaluing our young core cost us here.

    So far I've given you

    1) Quotes from multiple media members saying that the Pacers would have taken a better offer. In both 2017 and 2018
    2) Multiple articles stating George was upset at LA for not trading for him
    3) Quotes from Paul George himself stating he was upset LA didn't trade for him

    Meanwhile you've provided

    1) A single inconclusive Woj quote saying some unnamed advisor told us not to trade the young core for George. That same source qualifies 3 different times that we DO NOT know who gave us this advice. No proof this was from George or his camp.
    2) A conspiracy theory that all the sources I've posted have altered the truth to fit a revisionist narrative
    3) An attack of the credibility of the SAME source you yourself say was conveniently accurate at an earlier point in time (Woj)
    4) Your "belief" that the Pacers FO was mad at us and never wanted to deal with us.
    5) ZERO concrete evidence

Sorry dude, you don't have much to stand on here.

If you and others on this board would like to believe that George misled us to believe he would sign here in FA, and then ultimately spurned us at the last minute, with no proof of the fact, then you're free to believe that. It's the same sort of thinking that makes people on this board pathetically believe that Luke Walton is a great coach, we'd be better off with young core instead of proven guys like Davis, Leonard, etc, and that we should have kept Russell and Randle instead of signing LeBron freaking James.

I still fail to see what any of this has to do with Kawhi Leonard, or where he signs as a FA though. I'm done discussing this.

This is going to ba LONG offseason if this kind of stuff is already starting.

PG didn’t come and isn’t coming. I’m not sure it matters why any longer except for lessons learned by the front office. Hopefully that happened.

I've essentially gotten used to this phenomenon where once we fade out of playoff contention, we all just look off into the distance towards the draft/free agency... this year was a little different in that we actually had a pretty solid start, spent a decent amount of time above 500, and then saw it slowly slip away for a multitude of reasons.

In years past, I may have scanned the web furiously for any bit of news to chew on, but I am entirely numb to it now. I guess at this point, all we can hope for is a Toronto and Golden State loss in order to catalyze certain departures. I won't hold my breath -- just wake me up if/when it happens...

i've long held that indy would have taken the #2 or ingram for george, partly based on those reports. but i don't think it was overvaluing the young players as much as overplaying our leverage. it was hubris, not sentimentality.

as for the rest of this, you need to scale back on the condescension. i wonder how you'd react if someone referred to some of your ideas as pathetic beliefs.

Sirron was not kicked out for racism. He wasn't kicked out at all. He left on his own accord with no prompting from the staff. I just want to make that abundantly clear.
