It's impressive even with a 1000 threes and twice as many FTs.

Nobody else has done it, but that might be because scores and pace have increased dramatically, 3s have changed the landscape while defense has suffered big time without any dominant defensive big men out there. In the past the big must have rebounded and clogged the paint. Today everyone is looking for a stretch 5 lol.

BUT nobody else can do it right now. Durant is the only capable guy but it's still not easy to do that night in and night out and have your team be relatively successful too.

If they could, they would. Barely an NBA player holds back and sacrifices his stats. Steph Currys are rare.

He won’t get a farewell tour. That’s all I’m sayin’. They don’t love him like that.

i'd argue no other player has a team built solely to accentuate his strengths--perhaps to the detriment of true title contention.

you don't think if kyrie irving played with an elite lob threat, a bunch of three point shooters, and got to dribble around and jack a shot on every possession that he couldn't score 37ppg? curry? durant? lillard?

nobody else gets a green light to jack 15+ threes per game at 36% conversion rate. so we can't know.

You also get to push off on every step back to create separation and travel when you want because it will not be called on you, if someone tries to play defense you will get the whistle.

yes. i said the same back when wade was the league's golden boy in this regard: i can't imagine the confidence you get knowing that the whistle is always going to go your way. you can just barrel wherever you want, take wild shots and flail limbs because you know it won't be a turnover, but 2 or 3 fts. it's so ubiquitous that most announcers have just acquiesced. i was watching them a couple weeks ago when harden pulled his typical "can't get a step, so i'll shove the retreating defender" garbage and the guys calling the game were like: he's so good at using his strength. using his strength! that's a fun way to describe offensive fouls. i wasn't robbing this bank, i was creatively exercising my financial agency. nobody does it like me! it's a special talent.

Considering how badly they started off, I think they're pretty happy with the results of letting Harden take over.

I think Harden heard you about his terrible 3's....the guy has been shooting 50%+ from 3 in the last two games. He was crazy vs. the Spurs today; scored 27 points in one quarter and then literally took over in the 4th today and scored 13 straight points for them. First player since Kobe to get 2 60+ games in a season and it was after playing an OT game where he scored 57.

Yeah, he abuses the rules to his advantage. What if we had a player play the way Harden does? I bet most of us wouldn't care so much if it leads to W's or rings. I didn't see much complaining about how Lou drew fouls when he was here.

So this makes it right? it should be a fair playing field regardless of what team said player plays for.

Yeah, that's not a rebuttal. He played a great game, that doesn't mean the others were. And it doesn't mean he's the only one capable of these feats.

Well, I think it's not a fair playing field for us after the whole AD saga.

I agree with you that others (KD, etc.) can play like him and put up those stats. But I think that Harden has been one of the most durable players (for now) that can play like this under Pringles. I think he's gonna do his annual crash in the playoffs this year. D'Antoni seems to never learn about how to manage minutes.

That may be the worst one in the NBA I’ve ever seen. PG’s you could see bone, but it was lower so it didn’t have quite as gruesome a look, and Hayward’s I don’t remember any sound. This one was just awful, absolutely horrible, I came across it on Twitter and was sorry I did. The sound, the visual, the oblivious ref bumping his foot as he walked by him lying on the floor, his teammates scrambling away from him in horror and almost as if it were contagious, ugh. Hope he makes a full recovery, hate to see this happen to anyone.

    Not safe for ?????

Either way I'll pass. I mean if it was Lebron, I'd put it on repeat, but I hate for just about anyone else to experience injury.

    See, this right here

Is where I go ehhhh. You got raped, and instead of immediately going to the police, you tried to get money from Porzingis for a year? Isn’t going to police immediately what you should do when you’re raped? Get a rape kit done, get Porzingis stopped before he does this to someone else? But you try to get $68,000 from him before anything else? Story falls apart there for me. I’m also suspect of the whole this happening hours after he tore his ACL as well, seems like he’d have trouble even walking. I’m not with the whole #believeeveryone thing, I’m for investigating all cases on their own merit and coming to a conclusion based on what is found.
