When teams are looking at the guy you're firing...you might pause a moment.

He's not a bad coach. Get him some good assistants and a young team and he'll do just fine.

this asst argument is ridiculous, HC hand pick their asst. it comes with the pkg. How luke picked these asst. is also indicator he has no clue either what he needs to do to be succesful

That is definitely true. Fortunately, the management and the owners....

    ...uh, wait...

Think about that for a moment. Two self-absorbed a** hats do not want him. I wonder why.

this is my point. luke's not great, but again, only a very small part of the problem.

i know nobody gives a s***, but walton's a quality person. and you want that in your organization. if i were managing, i'd tell him: we're firing all of your assistants but want to keep you. i understand if you want to leave under those circumstances, but this is a s*** show right now. you can stay if you let us help you.

My guess, given that Jeanie likes him and a report from Tania a while ago, is that he’s been given that option and will elect to leave.

After a while, need to start looking in the mirror with your hiring practices, player or coach. Lakers have fired Brown, MDA, Byron Scott and soon to be Luke in a 9 year span. That's s***ty management with s***ty decisions on a consistent bases.

Luke may look better with a new team, but don't get salty over it. If he wants to run a high PnR 4 out type offense, if you give him 4 shooters and a decent perimeter scorer, his offense will look way better. Think D'Antoni with us vs. in Houston.

In other words, if you give the coach a decent roster, he might actually do a decent job. Imagine that.

But if you actually want to get rid of an incumbent coach, give him a mismatched roster and you have an excuse to get rid of him
