Still, even if he were 45% as slimy as Stern, that's still one of the slimier people alive today...which speaks more to the incomprehensible sliminess of Stern.

Silver lining to how this season has played out is that we'll be even more motivated to be aggressive this summer towards making changes to things that didn't work (ie coaching, shooting coach/trainer, small ball, med staff, getting a legit 2nd option and in terms of pairing with Bron, a primary scoring option). I got high hopes this summer...and that's all we really need: being in a position to exploit those hopes.

Bad luck with injuries withstanding, this team obviously doesn't have it and my saving grace for this season alone is Boston struggling now and towards an AD trade this summer.

    Kyrie to Indy confirmed.

Bron to toxic C Bags confirmed.

Speaking of being together, Horford has a player opt out. Seeing how well Boogie and AD looked at times, a Horford (one a modest salary) and AD pairing here in LA wouldn't be the worst thing if we miss on a marquee free agent this summer. Our defense would be immensely better. To me, Horford and Smart are the key elements to their defense.

Horford has taken a pretty big step back this season, likely because of his advancing age. On a one year deal? Yeah, I'd take him. Maybe even a two-year deal if we trade for AD and can't sign anyone. But Horford's player option is 30 million dollars. I can't see him opting out of that deal at 33 years old. Is someone going to sign him to a two-year 40 million dollar deal? That's what it would likely take to make it worth his while. Even then, he'd still only have to sign a one-year deal for 10 million and he's at that 2/40 deal.

Weird how the Boston players have been so open about how their culture has been "toxic", etc. The media would lap it up like crazy if one of the players here did what Brown did. They ironically have the same problem that we have, a demoralized young core that might be dumped for AD.

Kyrie has been a bad leader for them.

Horford could be tired of the BS in Boston and start thinking about ring chasing.

Having him on a 1yr 30m deal would be awesome as a contingency, but I shudder at the mercenary narrative that will surely follow.

It would have been no different than the 18M 1yr deal for Boogie last summer that we suspected might happen when we renounced Jules...but instead it was Rondo/Lance/Beas last summer while dude went to sign 5m with the dubs. Wow.

Honestly we could easily get Boogie this offseason IMO if we threw a max at him. Whether that's a good idea is a different question entirely.

What happens when Boogie gets tired of LBJ's s*** in the first 2 months and just punches him in the face?

Nothing, Bron would have to retire after that.

This sort of ties to my gripe with Jeanie hiring of Magic...this is what "normally" happens with exec. hires, teams do their due diligence and have multiple candidates to interview....Jeanie just hires Magic cause hes around and a former laker great

They don't even have a gm and already random guys are hearing from their sources what the next gm will do... Lol.

I know for sure that guys like Shams, Woj etc are legit. I also know for sure that Windhorst, Ramona etc are well connected although they don't seem to be as high level connected as the others.

Guys like Stephen A, Broussard, Colin etc... They are not connected to anyone important. They have never broken a legit story and I firmly believe they talk out of their butt here and there.

The GM will do, whatever the owner wants. "Trade AD anywhere but LA", simple.

I can honestly see New Orleans being so anti Laker stubborn that they trade AD to either Boston for Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart + picks (leaving Tatum in Boston) or to New York for their lottery pick which will be #1 overall protected. So essentially AD for the #2 to 4 pick lol.
