I put these things on the coaching staff AND the team’s best player and leader. LeBron’s teams go as LeBron goes. The 18 games missed, sure, of course he can’t be blamed for what happened during that. But before that when we lost many winnable games, and since that when we’ve had inexcusable losses, that’s on him. 2006 and 2007 Kobe and Phil dragged a lesser roster than this to the playoffs. Kobe probably gets that 2005 team to the playoffs too before he got injured and Rudy T had a breakdown and resigned. The way I see it, LeBron had no idea how tough the West was going to be, and he came here primarily for the Hollywood side and for his family. But yes, IF we can somehow sign a 2nd star, and maybe then trade for AD, and we are a 3 star team, then this will still be a success in the end. I’m just not seeing it at this point though, there’s zero smoke for any of the big name guys wanting to be a Laker this summer.

His leadership leaves a lot to be desired. That's basically it. He's not used to doing this without help from other star players.

Man he got blocked so many times this game ... my biggest fear was signing this guy just before his decline. We better shut him down and let the kids ride out the season before he gets another injury.

I'm not gonna lie, I was enamored with what he was doing in Cleveland majority of career and thought we'd experience that same success once we got him too. This doesn't bode well for our team right now. I'm trying to see us win championships in this modern era, not a diva and his Hollywood soap opera. Hope things can change during the playoffs if we make it, and he becomes the Bron we all know and admire.

Lebron's a fraud, man. I thought signing him meant an automatic ticket to the playoffs. That's the only reason I was on board. I f***in hate his guts to be honest. Always have.

The only saving grace for Maginka is that they did not give LeBron a no trade clause....

    2 thoughts...

    1. If there can be a positive taken away from this disaster of a season, it's seeing the Bronsexuals squirm like never before. All those years they ragged on Kobe - missing the playoffs in '05, only being the 7/8 seed in '06 and '07, having to drag the "stacked" '13 Lakers to the playoffs - are finally coming back to haunt them. LeBron is an all-time great player, but the GOAT debate ends here. He simply bullied the weak-as-water Eastern Conference all these years and now, he's being exposed.

    2. With all that said above...I hope LeBron takes this personal and comes back next year on a mission to prove to everyone why he is, in fact, a legend. After those 2011 Finals, when he scored like 6 against the Mavs one game, his critics had never been louder. He used that as motivation, won 2 MVPs, and led them to 2 championships. When the Cavs were down 3-1 in 2016, all the talk was how he couldn't win outside of Miami, then he took it personal and led them to the greatest comeback in NBA history. Now, the pressure is on again. In LA, the spotlight is always brightest and the critics are harsher than ever. Hell, even Colin Cowherd is ripping the guy to pieces. If he truly thinks he is the GOAT, he needs to take this personal and be ready next year to lead us back to our place atop the mountain of basketball.

Dude quit on the team, and they in turn quit on him, the second the trade deadline passed without AD.

Jordan 34 yr old season was MVP, Finals MVP, won the chip, still elite defender

I think things become more obvious from here on out that he's clearly not the goat. Longevity and career stats do NOT equal the best player. Clearly.
