    Carmelo Anthony Davis

Just throwing that out there. Sounds like there will be a few open roster spots if this goes down.

Can you wrap your mind around the roster transformation that would have happened in a year with the new crew if that happens?

    :Mindblown:

:Lebronsmoking: (Just another day at the office)

***That being said, I'm glad I'm not too attached to any of our young players. Hart had the potential, but has fallen off a cliff. I'm strangely indifferent, but at least Brow is gifable***

Sparing one of BI, Zo or Kuz in a trade would be Klutch AF.

Anyways, if we trade for AD, all is not lost in the 3max player grab.

KD, Kawhi, Kyrie and Butler all have player options. Think of how CP3 used HTown's 21m in potentially available cap space as a way to leverage the cLips to trade him, with his bird rights in tow. LA will potentially have about 30m in cap space next summer after an AD trade at the deadline.

Also Nawlins may want to get off bad contracts like Moore & Solomon in an AD trade and LA has a boat load of expiring deals to make that happen. They would leak into 2019 free agent spending, but again if those free agents force some trade action, we're back in business.

I’m not getting my hopes up for this one.

AD and Klutch don’t have much leverage to get him to the Lakers unless NO really like our young players who have been injured or very meh for the most part so far this season for the most part.

I hope it happens of course, but I’d like to keep Kuz if possible.

Zubacca's recent string of excellent play couldn't have come at a better time.

Vasashi17 Theory...err...Conspiracy Theory (Let's be honest, they're one in the same): Zubac was always this good, and we decided to unleash him close to the trade deadline in order to keep one of our other kids.

I'd rather trade Zo than BI because Zo can't stay healthy, and I think Ingram has more trade value around the league. I'd like to keep him so we can maybe flip him down the line for another star.

Kuz, Ball, Zu and two firsts for Anthony Davis.

    Ingram and Hart for Beal.

i think i said when zo got injured that it may have helped pave the way for the lakers to ramp up the AD pursuit. as long as NO owns their pick, they should tank super hard in the wake of an AD trade. having your trade return laid up is helpful in that venture.

btw, i'd forego all the cap space next year in a mammoth deal for davis AND holiday. of course, that's kind of insane and would take half the roster just to match salaries.

anyway, put everything on the table and threaten to be more conservative if this bleeds into the summer. best you can do.

i cant put blame on zo this yr for a random ankle sprain....hes getting it together before that. bi is just meh at everything n i doubt bi has more trade value than Zo, i know random other fans dont like him due to loud mouth pops but gms know he plays the right way, minus ft of course

We really don’t have the leverage that we had when PG/Kawhi “demanded” a trade to LA. We can’t just threaten to keep our assets and sign AD in free agency. That would require us to hold off on the current free agent class to preserve cap space for 2020, and waste another year of Lebron. Not gonna happen.

We have to trade for him, and it has to be now. If you can keep even just one player between Zo, BI, Kuz, and Hart, you do it in a heartbeat. All the future firsts we have. Any of the Pel’s choice of our other young guys like Zu, Wagner, Svi, etc. Pretty much everything should be on the table.

You could be right. I just think that other GMs see that Ingram is talented and could be better utilized if he wasn't sharing the court with Lebron as much. Outside of that stinker vs the Thunder, he has been more consistent and efficient since Lebron went down. We also have Rondo on the roster which would make losing Ball much easier.
