We are 15-9 vs sub .500 teams?

Wrong. We are 15-9 vs sub .500 teams.

Also, every team loses to teams they should beat. The best teams do so less often. We are not there yet to always take care of business, but it's cherry picking to always bring up losses to Orlando, and Cleveland to prove Luke sucks, without acknowledging we've also beaten the best in the league with Luke as the coach.

Don't know where to find minutes stats but im pretty sure our best lineup played only "few" minutes together. Someone is always injured... or susspended. We realy had some bad luck this season. Luke has his flawes but cut the guy some slack. Remember how the young guys responded when he called them out? He can't do it every game, they need to turn it on and keep improving.

so to you luke doesn't suck n they run actual offense system? im taking exception to those posters always finding excuses for luke....personnel is fine, his system or lack therefore suck...just for example the rams 1 yr difference from fisher to mcvey n they become a top tier offense with pretty much the same personnel...with Fisher, Goth looked like a mistake as #1 pick, with mcvey guy puts up top 10 qb #s

Just here to remind everyone we were 18-11 and 1.5 games out of first before this rash of injuries began. We've lost Rondo, Lonzo, LeBron, McGee and now Kuzma, for significant chunks of time, each. Not sure what people expected.

wins against ny, cle, minny, etc. we knew it was going to be bad, but it didn't have to be this bad.

edit: btw (since it's the luke thread), not luke's fault. play better folks. those teams are awful and don't care. you have to really lay down for them. and we did.

It’s not just James. Tonight we are playing without LeBron, Kuz, Ball and Chandler. Thank god it’s the Suns. But that is a catastrophic loss of players under any circumstances.

I said no such thing, and I meant exactly what I said.

Please stop deflecting when you're wrong. It's ok to be wrong sometimes. Everyone is wrong sometimes. Just own up to it and argue the points people actually said or what you said.

You don't think you're always making excuses for why Luke sucks when you ignore that we've beaten really good teams as well as lost to some bad ones?

    Team is crap without Lebron

Look at Denver , Houston , SAS here... LOTS of injuries but didn't lose their franchise player

there's MORE losing to the bad teams then there has been beating the "good" team...I'll own up to the losing record to bad teams, it was the case earlier in the season....I'm not owning up to saying Luke SUCKS, when this team beats a good team its as you put it...."good teams lose to bad teams" randomly and thats the feel of it with this team. They'll beat a team like GSW and turn around and look completely lost against much more inferior teams...the guy is 3yrs in and still looks as clueless at times as the 1st day on the job

I think Luke is doing a damn good job all things considered. He's not a championship caliber coach, but I think he can get there. He's show growth this season and has the team playing over their heads defensively. Not to mention the job he's done developing the young guys, which hopefully is flipped for AD. So to that end, hypothetically, we would have Luke to thank to some degree for making this trade possible.

This isn't the team he thought he would be coaching. These aren't the expectations he thought we would have. Bron changed all that. There is no coaching job in the NBA more scrutinized and more threatened than one where you're coaching Bron or his team. Name one coach Bron has had that he's wanted to play for? Factor in the constant adjustments that have been required because of injuries, there's no way in hell you can get a rhythm down or have a consistent game plan. We've lost every starter we've had for some portion of the season and a lot of the rotation players as well.

I would like for him to be given a chance by Magic and by Bron's camp when everyone is healthy and we can finally see what our playoff run roster will look like on the court together. Factor in potential massive roster overhaul at the deadline and that might not even be a fair judgment period.

If we get AD and both he and Bron say they want someone else, obviously we have to listen. But Luke has the vote of confidence by Jeanie and Rondo, that's enough for me.

However, my question is who would you replace him with? I don't think there's a better alternative that we could get and could make a sizable difference.

Everyone here seems to want Mark Jackson, but I'm not 100% on board yet. What do you think?

I don't think people here actually want Jackson. I've just seen his name thrown around as someone Magic and Rob might go after. But if we do get AD I think a coaching change may come into play as it seems to be want Lebron wants.

I've read Mark's name out there, I like him and he got a raw deal in GSW. I think he's too old school for today's league and don't see him moving the needle any more so than Luke. According to SAS today, Magic has his replacement in mind if he does end up canning Luke and it's a current HC on a team. He wasn't willing to mention the name because it hasn't been confirmed with other sources. You're not getting Pop, Brad, Bud, Kerr, or Carlisle. I don't see the point.

If we replace Luke, (note: this wont happen) I'd rather make Rondo player/coach than hire anything out there.

I hadn't seen that yet, but now I'm curious. Unfortunate, but may be necessary also. Luke really should have turned down the job for some more seasoning. IMHO, he wasn't ready yet.

^^^We could potentially bring in the Zo whisperer, but then have no Zo. That's odd.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you Coach, but it's quotes like this that gas up your hot seat.

No doubt that our offense is trash...but even with all the injuries/suspensions our Drtg is 7th best in the league.
