His brain is the problem. He has amazing skillsets. Unique ones. But his brain is mush, just like his dad. He is just quiet.

42% from the free throw line this year...my brain doesn't even comprehend this at this point.

A PG that shoots 42%...can you remember any PG shooting 42%? Rondo? I have no idea.

I remember Bruce Bowen being around 40% and he was even a solid 3 point shooter but he wasn't a PG.

I hope Luka finally has a good game against us and abuses Lonzo. Always was high on this kid (Luka) and im a big fan.
I hope someday, him and Giannis will end up in P&G.

I still find it incredible that Lonzo currently matches Shaquille O’Neal’s worst free throw percentage for an entire season (2006-07 season, he shot 42.2%).

The Lakers need a shooting coach.

I was listening to a podcast the other day, and they mentioned than all of the assistant coaches are generalists, meaning none of them specialize in a certain aspect of the game.

We need a shooting coach.... bad. For damn near everyone except KCP

Great bounce back game tonight. He was in control all game long. Just wish he would work on the free throwing. It's in his head now. Hard to watch that part. But the free throws don't take away from his leadership and his strong offensive play tonight. He was so important for our win. Started strong and kept it rolling for the entirety.

Funny you say that everyone except KCP needs a shooting coach.

This same guy is claiming he’s been studying Lonzo’s shot and thinks it’s fixable. He’s apparently worked with Steph and Klay.

^but that doesn't matter because Lavar won't let someone outside of his inner circle to "take over" and Lonzo doesn't have the balls to clash with his dad.

Whatever man, Lonzo has played better recently since his death streak. So at least he has been contributing something..

    But the FT shooting man..

In his last 5 games he has made 2 of 15 free throws...thats incredible to me. That has nothing to do with shooting or stroke or anything...this is failing miserably in the mental game.

    That’s great to see.

For everyone blaming Luke for everything, you need to start looking more at Magic and Pelinka for the free throw shooting, and even 3pt shooting problems.

The Lakers have all the money in the world to hire the best shooting coach in the league, but they do nothing in this area. Why is that?

I agree...I could go back and search my posts from August...where I was cursing daily that we will be the worst FT shooting team in history...and voila...we are right where it was axpected to end...bottom of the league.

With that said...I didn't expect Ball to shoot 41%.....41%.....I have to repeat this in order to believe it. Its not just that he misses...his FTs just look absolutely horrendous...like he throws up a hot potato or is handicapped or something.

Their summer signings have busted except Bron and McGee...We haven't gotten much from the other guys.

Honestly, I'm surprised teams haven't chosen to do this to LeBron and Lonzo in crunch time. Both are automatic misses.

We do not have a single ball handler who can make FTs...thats a reciepe for disaster in crunch time. We usually use KCP in must foul situations but he can't handle the ball and make plays for others.

If I was the opposing coach, I would make Lonzo beat me at the line and enjoy a 99% success rate with that strategy.

Can't blame the coach when players shoot 40% from the line. Its just not acceptable for someone to get millions who can't make a FREE throw.
