I dont know how beal defends but I do know his stat line is what we'd hope Ingram should get too but wont IMO. Also BI ext. is coming up, how do you feel if he's asking for near max money at the current production he's at?

I missed these comments before, maybe he’s finally getting it.

What exactly are you disagreeing with? I made three points:

    1. Trading for Beal kills the Max FA slot.
    2. Trading for Beal kills the AD trade
    3. Trading for Beal is not enough for a Ring run

You agree with #1, so you must be disagreeing with #2 and/or #3.

You want to then trade for AD, so you must agree with #3.

That leaves you disagreeing with #2. You may be right. We MIGHT be able to trade for AD without BI in the trade. But I doubt it. NOLA's best two frontline players if AD leaves are Randle and Mirotic. The question for them is who fits best. Kuz can fit, but BI is a better natural fit. I'd insist on BI if I'm NOLA. Actually if I'm NOLA I'd insist on our entire young core including Zu.

No way he's worth close to max money yet. You let that play out an additional year because he'll still be restricted. Once you lock in your max FA's or whoever you are pursuing, then you can lock him in. That contract then can become a major asset if he blows up.

Make no mistake about it...this is make or braek time for Ingram.

I know we're playing OKC...but Ingram needs a signature win over a marquee team to really put his stamp on this team and also give notice to the league that he's an all star caliber player that everyone pegged him to be. Basically, look at what Jamal Murray has done this year...Ingram has the opportunity to do this while LeBron is out.

that's a little dramatic don't you think? If he doesn't break out til next year, he'll still have an amazing career. Still a very solid and growing player, and we're better when he's healthy.

I have every confidence he'll get there. Glad to see his comments about not being so selfish though. Takes those 20 something year olds a bit to figure it out.

Not at all. Lakers are constantly in trade rumors and there's a ton of pressure for him to perform NOW because of LeBron's timeline.

We all expected him to be at 20ppg this year and be that second guy...he hasn't been that and i think he needs to prove that he still can be that and also showcase himself to other teams that might want to trade for him.

his selfishness isn't the problem, holding onto the ball for 10secs before making any decision is lol

come to the positive side of the house where we only look at the positive

If you look at Lebron's comments, you can even find a way to spin them in a positive way over here

keeping the ball to yourself for 10 seconds is very selfish because he isn't sharing

Anywho, it appears a little bit of a light has gone on. I hope it's not a one game wonder, and that it continues. We didn't see him do the grab and hold so much last game.

while I dont like the ball holding, I blame that squarely on coaching staff, IMO they're the ones telling him to do that on purpose lol. Other than FT's I do hold alot of hope for BI to be a player that we want him to be, its gona be very difficult to do though with James here.

It's pretty difficult for any other player to shine besides Lebron. Or at least 2 others. But that may be true for other stars period when dealing with one that is ball control heavy. it's not like we had other 20 pt scorers the latter half of Kobe's career.

i think i might be lumped in with this.

    1. yes. don't care.
    2. no. if anything, it could strengthen an AD trade, as the stars that have moved of late have all gone for proven players. we have one (lebron). beal would give us two and could also be a centerpiece in an AD deal, really more than anyone else we have currently. if all it costs is ingram, we should have already done this.
    3. i think it is. just like we're 3 games out of 12th, we're 3 games out of first. gs is super vulnerable, as is houston. everyone else would be on an even-or-less talent plane should we land beal without giving up ball, kuz, hart, rondo, or mcgee.

as for who fits best in the hypothetical NO trade: beal!

also, NO can't insist on the entire young core if we don't have them anymore! yay?

anyway, i'm pro-ingram-for-beal and have been for a long time.

it's a moot point, though, cuz maglinka think we're getting AD and/or KD. i think we're not getting either.

I officially can’t take Brandon Ingram any more. His playmaking is horrendous.

BI needs the Ball out of his hands. His playmaking ability has regressed. This game was frustrating to watch. I thought BI would turn the corner this year. At this point it seems unlikely unfortunately.

Another 4th Quarter. Another let down from this guy. The Sacramento Kings game last Sunday seems to be an aberration
