Am i crazy to think Lonzo has a realistic floor of a bigger Rondo? Superstar, maybe not. But how valuable was Rondo last night? I see a lot of Rondo qualities in Zo, and he's only 20, with less than 82 games under his belt.
No you’re not crazy. Lonzo can be an elite glue guy. I’ve been saying it every few pages in this thread. The issue is he is a 2nd pick and is going to expect the max.
I agree that his floor is a bigger Rondo. I think he could be more valuable to a team than a player like Vince Carter, who was a superstar. Meanwhile, Odom was uber valuable but never even made an allstar team. Projecting Lonzo to become a superstar or not means nothing in the grand scheme of things. To me, it's obvious how special Lonzo's gifts are. His defense alone validates his #2 draft position, and yes, I would have taken him over Fox or Tatum.
Must be two Lonzos out there. The one I see is really good. Got to be another one out there that sucks that I just keep missing.
Tonight is a huge game for Lonzo. Fox will forever be linked to Zo due to draft class, small college beef, etc. Now without Rondo and LBJ this is his offense to run. He needs to show up.
yeah, at this point he's the clear underdog in the matchup. he needs to play like it instead of tightening up. fox always plays like he's got something to prove.
I was happy drafting Ball. I think he's going to be a good NBA player for a decade plus, but my gut screamed Fox during the draft.
