Love love love :Joshharthearthands:'s ability to as Stu said last night to "ride" the ball to the basket. He is picking up some of Harden's tricks even perhaps adding to what he already had going in this area .... in leveraging the defenders by seeking the contact and being the stronger and better balanced player in the air to finish at the rim on his awesome drives. Lonzo would do well to pick up everything he can learn from Josh in this particular area of skills of his.
You mean Josh knows how to attack the body of the shotblocker so the shotblocker won't block his shot? Something Kuz, Zo, and BI seem to struggle to figure out? Stu can call it "riding". I call it fundamentals.
Not if you gather enough momentum on the drive. BI, Zo, and Kuz are routinely being blocked or having their shot altered when driving from the very top of the key or even driving on a fast break. They should have enough momentum to jump into the body of the shotblocker. This is the kind of stuff high school coaches teach.
It's both technique/fundamentals and strength, really. You need body control and core strength to pull off a shot after the initial impact.
Me too, but he was hurt, so he was not able to play heavy minutes anyway. His ankle is still bothering him, IMO.
Absolutely, he was hurting. But last night he looked a little better to me. It's still effecting his shot a bit but he seems to be on the road to recovery, thankfully. He's just so solid on both sides of the ball - we need him in there more.
In terms of media attention, I think he's right. But as far as "inside sports" attention, I believe GM's, coaches, and players are more aware of what he does.
He needs to start...we probably don't get down by 17 this early in the game if he's out there to start the game. He also needs to play more but understandably, we were blowing out the Suns by the time 4th Q came around so didn't need him out there...
I'm sick of being down double digits every single game in the first quarter. Granted, we keep winning despite it for the most part, but it's awful to watch. No coincidence at all that Hart came in and we immediately started erasing that 17 point deficit and caught up fairly quickly. The starting unit sucks. Switch it up and start Hart.
He should be starting over Ingram, simple as that. But since the Fo made BI the golden child, i think he'll replace Kuz at some point.
I wish the title to this thread were still true!!! So, Hart outplayed KCP enormously and deservedly got the starting job at the 2. Then Ingram gets suspended and Kuz plays in his place. That all makes perfect sense. And then Ingram comes back - should have been benched IMO for going way too far in that skirmish, gets to start and why does Hart go to the bench? I don't get it. Why is Ingram at the 2 when he can't shoot and struggles to guard smaller, faster players at the position? And why is Kuz still in there over Hart who is a better shooter, better defender and better fit for the starting unit? Meanwhile the current starters look like garbage as a unit to start every single game and fall into double digit deficits. Luke get your head out of your @$$ and change things back to how they should be.
