Big Mamma: The only angle I can see is that we signed TC when typically that type of buyout deal occurs post-trade deadline. So a power play was made in Phoenix by TC and his reps, who happens to also be the agency that reps BI and Kemba.

Schwartz can help broker a deal where BI gets to go back home to N.Carolina...can leverage Adidas to extend BI's current 10m 5 yr deal with them by threatening to go with Jordan Brand... And can get Kemba a lucrative deal via LA's capspace.

However nothing Kemba has said or done implies he's looking to leave Charlotte and in the process reject a supermax deal with them.

BI also is extension eligible next summer and depending on if he gets the max or not would be considered a poison pill contract if we trade him next year AFTER he agrees to an extension (ie team trading for him would see him as 20m+ incoming money while the Lakers see him as 7.3m in outgoing money aka a legal trade would be harder to consummate).

Long story short, Kemba's name is just thrown out there by overzealous Laker fans and there is nothing viable from an insider or source that links him to the Lakers. You can't even label it as a conspiracy theory cause there is nothing to conspire from.

Hard to watch, hopefully there's something more in his repertoire in the future because this ISO, pound the rock for 17 seconds just won't cut it...

He certainly dribbled the ball a lot yesterday.

is it me or does 6-15 with very few other stats seem like his modal game?

Ingram needs to change his wig. He looks like he bought Coolio's hair at the Gangsta's paradise chapter 22 yard sale.

Nice game by BI tonight. Less dribbling. More decisive actions.

Him and Kuzma played well in the support role today. I liked it. Yes, he looked more decisive, I agree.

It is very difficult for young players to adjust to playing with a talent like Lebron. Lebron is being encouragong and we are seeing some results. Same reason great shooters would come to LA and forget how to shoot. They could not adjust to playing with the living legend of Kobe Bryant. It takes extreme confidence to play with greatness. Many dont have it, our young guns seem to.

Tatum and Brown are struggling to play with a 2nd tier star like Hayward. Now imagine how much harder it is to assess your role playing with a megastar like Lebron. Ingram is doing just fine.

Said the same thing on another thread. Look at how awful Hood and Clarkson were last year after getting traded to Cleveland. It takes a special young player to be 2nd and 3rd fiddle behind Lebron. These kids are still fighting for their seat at the table, and that’s encouraging.

There was a time down in the 2nd half near top of the key where Bron could have shot the ball as he had an opening for a moment or gone 1 on 1 himself but passed to BI like 10 feet away out there and then watched him start some 1 on 1 again himself. It would not surprise me if the team is tacitly encouraging Ingram and Kuzma too at times to work on their games in that manor. So we have more players down the road, especially BI, who can create consistently their own shots .... besides LeBron and Lance. If he wasn't being encouraged to do it I don't think he would be allowed to do it every game, certainly as often as he does.

Strong all around game from BI last night. I love his aggression with the second unit. Did his job with the starters too. Now fix that three point shot sometime.

So about that whole untouchable thing and how the FO is not trying to be more aggressive with our young assets...

Not gonna lie tho...I'm relieved there wasn't much traction on the Butler deal. BI should be saved for Kawhi and AD type players (you know, top 5 type guys).

He’s a great cog. Probably a ceiling as a B level star, and that’s ok. You need those too.

Man BI, Kuz, and Hart in hindsight for Kawhi. Who doesn't do that now?
