Wow! Wasn't expecting that type of grade, especially coming from a Jules guy, but I respect that grade. But had you given him a grade of D, I suspect you woulda been trolln. (Takes one to know one )
I mean Elfrid Payton had a tripdub this year too...I guess it's the #ADeffect...still dude has A Defect in his D and tonight's game doesn't really change that. That being said, Bullyius has skills and I'm not trying to take away from that either...so congrats young bull. But still, that don't mean I miss you and your non-defensive impact ways. I would have liked to get an asset in a trade for you if you absolutely needed to bounce, but ain't going to cry a river now that it's over with. And for those that keep boxscoring his stat line this year as some way of showing how the FO f***ed up...nah. Look at his contract when there was money in the market still to be had...he and his team f***ed up. He and his team wanted an out... We gave it to them by renouncing him as a RFA so that we can maintain our "excellence in our relationships with player's and their teams"...(I mean why would Deng give back money in a buyout if he felt wronged?) Real talk!
Was surprised reading that article, considering they called him out for his typically upright stance on defense, is that his short (and I guess very heavy) arms were also typically rarely up, something taught in grade school ball.
That's just an incredible performance. To put things into perspective.... PER36: 30.3 pts, 20.2 reb, 14.4 ast
Hey have you looked at your favorite link lately? "Zero Impact" Randle is creeping up quick. https://stats.nba.com/players/tradi...9&SeasonType=Regular Season&TeamID=1610612740
Travis, he was 2nd to last on the team, with AD and Niko going down for a few games and his number being called. Hey but we'll see where dude is closer to the end of the season. I'm actually expecting him to kill next to AD. So don't get it twisted tada, I wanted to keep dude on a blimped 1yr deal (recall #JulesWatch?)... But I ain't losing sleep over a guy that forced himself out either....and that much is also true (see how the dubs are handling a restricted McCaw...we didn't have to renounce dude, but did him and his team a solid).
Randle is a bad defender? My eyes must have been lying to me all last season, as he was often switched onto smaller players and managed to stay in front of them, but he's a bad defender. He'll never be a rim protector but saying he's a bad defender doesn't make much sense to me.
only thing about Randle defense that pissed me off all the time was his lack of attention to it. his player always backdoor cutting and his lack of help defense that is literally right there for him to react to it. but when he is focused. hes a damn good defender no doubt about it. so his problem is more of the lack of using that organ between his ears
He's great when he blitzes the guard after a pick and roll switch but too many times he doesn't challenge a shot. Rarely had his hand up.
Wow yeah. Mirotic out and Randle starts at center against Clips. 39 minutes, 15-24 and 3-4 from 3pt, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 0 TOs.
Yeah .... We're badly missing him as a small ball 5 option. Lebron-Randle as a PF-C combo would have killed teams
